They are super cute, easy to install, but they are really small. I purchased with the intention to make a ladder pattern for the cats to climb, but the shelves are just really tiny. Would be cute in a small space and close together. I would recommend, though.

Shelves have yellow streaks on them. Not sure if that is from the wood that is used or the staining/painting process. Disappointed in color but the price was great.

They are fine and look nice. No instructions or templates included. Shelves are hollow except for internal piece around edges. Material is very soft and great care should be exercised inserting bracket screws into the shelves. Overtightening can easily strip out the holes. If you are looking for shelves on which to put books these are not deep or sturdy enough. They are fine for small items but I would not exceed 10 lbs per shelf. Screws for wall anchors are undersized (#6?) and manufacturer should increase size included to #8. I have installed 100s of wall anchors and when driving the screws into the anchor by hand (highly recommended) I could tell that with just a little too much force the screw would strip out the anchor. There is simply not enough bite of the screw into the anchor. Brackets are not welded square and plum. I installed all of the brackets onto the shelves first. Trying to install the shelf after hanging the brackets would be very difficult, especially for screws that go into the shelf closest to the wall. If I had not already hung them on the wall I probably would return them. ... show more

The kit comes with a long, medium and short length shelves. Looks like pine with a light stain. The brackets are heavy duty, black and simple to install. I recommend toggle bolts if you are going to put light to moderate weight on them. Use the short screws for holding the shelves in place. Skip the inserts and long screws. ... show more
