The Royal Purple Oil Filter also provides an ultra-strength filter housing that can endure higher burst strength than conventional filters. Bought this hesitantly. I've always used fram filters and Valvoline oil. Recently I've noticed at oil change intervals that the oil has been very dirty. More so than normal. So I decided to buy this filter and give it a try. After about half the life of an oil change I checked the dipstick and to my surprise the oil is as clean as the day I put in the new oil. It was so clean in fact I had to look closely to the dipstick to find the oil line. I will update if anything changes but as of right now I am sold that a better quality filter is definitely worth the investment ... show more

Superior filtering. I’ve used RP products exclusively in my Silverado. Started using in my sisters Equinox. Her oil was literally black by the time it was due a change. After two rounds of high detergent RP oil I added the RP oil filter. Oil still looks like oil at time of change. Superior filter.

I have used these quite often, great filters. The only gripe I have with the vendor is why does your price jump around so much? I just bought 5 of these on sale for about $6 each about a month ago and now you got them jacked back up to almost $19. That’s ridiculous!! Talk about price gouging. When they are that high FYI I do not buy them. There are plenty other good filters out there!! ... show more
