I have lost count how many bream and bass I have caught out of my pond. When they won’t hit ANYTHING else I can put one of these on for some all but guaranteed fun. It’s amazing how slow you can retrieve the lure and the blade will still spin. It is almost more productive that way.     • Decent lure but definitely not the quality of Joe Fly.

I received these and fished them heavy in river and lake fishing. They do catch fish as I did catch several trout and a SM bass. The only flaw I see is the two prong trail hook as it is tied on instead of connected with a swivel or any metal. It tends to get hook up on the material of the fly itself which causes for multiple adjustments to fix it to throw again. I do not have that problem with a Joe Fly. With that said, I did catch as many fish with these lures as I did with the Joe fly and feel it performed slightly better than the rooster tails and panther martins. Overall I’m happy with the purchase and would recommend them but only if a Joe Fly isn’t available. 4 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’d be happy to try out more products from this company. ... show more

New type of lure; I was skeptical, but I caught small Brown Trout in a small creek first time I used it. So far so good. Haven't had the chance to use in bigger trout stream river but hope to soon. It appears to be a fly and it has a spin. Natural colors that brown trout like. Value was good. Like added hooks and size. Might have to add weight to get down in bigger streams, but don't know yet. ... show more

Loved the look of these roxstar spinners. I’m normally a mepps or rooster tail guy but decided to give these a try. Fished a local spot from a kayak, in 4 hours I hooked 6 bass and a northern pike. These were fished just above and along heavy weed beds. With the hook set up they seem to sneak through the weeds far better than the others. I will and have continued to use them with great success. Probably priced a little cheaper also. Love them! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The lure itself stands up to something like twenty catches each before the trout cut off the fur and string. Sturdier than any “fly” I’ve used. The hooks are high quality and everything stay tight. The spin action stay true and effective. As for presentation, the striker flys are phenomenal. Almost every cast in a Michigan Blue Ribbon Trout stream results in a Brooke or a brown. The problem; you can’t keep the fish off!!! Even the little guys, so you are constantly trying to reel in faster than the fish chasing it so you don’t have to carefully pull out hooks from little guys. 10/10 recommend.     • Good idea. Needs bigger main hook, and lose the stinger hook

The media could not be loaded. I will write an updated review after I've used them. But first impression is that they feel prettt sturdy, and spin very freely. But the stinger hook that trails the main hook has such a small eye, that it doesn't move freely. It stands to reason that the stinger hook will just end up sitting at whatever funky angle it ends up in once it hits the water. EDIT: I had a chance to use them today. They cast well. A couple of them spin very well, even on a very slow retrieve. A couple of them don't really spin at all. The hook-up rate is the biggest concern I have. Only hooked a fish 1/10 bites. And I'm no novice, by any stretch, so I know how to set a hookMaybe the hooks are too small. But the one fish I did land, i had to really yank on the rod tip to set the hook, and it still popped off the hook before I could get my net or hands on it. Fortunately it landed right next to me. I probably won't buy these again. I saw an ad once that said they're made in u.s.a., but they feel like cheap Chinese made. The stinger hook does indeed get stuck in awkward postions 2/5 casts, and cause it to swim a bit crooked on the retrieve. However, after throwing almost everything in the box without so much as a bite, the roxstar spinner fly was the only bait that got a fish on shore. So I'm on the fence. That hook up rate is pretty bad though. If I were to order more in the future, I hope there is an option to get all black with gold blades. The silver blade with orange fly didn't seem to get any attention at all. ... show more
