These shoes arrived promptly and I was very happy at how great the looked right out of the box. The material feels and looks great. I really liked the look of this color combination in picture and am even more happy with how it looks in person. I have only worn these shoes a few times so far, but the are comfortable and great to slip on and off at first, but as you can see in one of the pictures the heel padding is already beginning to pull away from the shoe and I am worried that this will just get progressively worse as I continue to take the shoes on and off. For the premium that is being charged for this shoe I in no way expected to have a quality issue like this so quickly. This is unfortunate as I really like the look and fit of these shoes and was looking forward to using these all Summer, but now do not expect these shoes to last that long. ... show more

I got a size 12 Rothy's Driving Loafer for my husband's size 11.5 foot because the product page recommended ordering a half size up. It was good advice! I took a good look at the shoes before I gave them to him. The stitching is tight, there is a thick, waterproof, removable insole. This provides shock absorption to what would be a thin shoe without them. The shoes are breathable and flexible. I assume the sole having a portion that does not have the rubber dimples is to make it more flexible, especially for driving. My husband says there are no rubbing spots, that these are cool and comfortable. He thinks they will be good on the boat, too. I think the waterproof insole might allow him to use them on the boat. He did comment that he could feel the little nubs through the shoes on his heels while walking, but claims it's a little like a self-massage. I have bought several pairs of the women's Rothys over the past 4-5 years and know these will indeed wash up well. I like that they use recycled materials to make them. I did see a couple of reviewers commented on the price, but my own Rothy's have stayed nice for several years, so I feel like the price is justifiable. My own philosophy is to spend more on the shoes/clothing I will wear the most, and that is what these are. ... show more

These Rothy's Driving Loafers are excellent shoes. I've been wearing them all day. I'd initially planned to just try them on for fit but they were so comfy I've kept them on all day. The product description says you should order up a half size due to their snug fit. Mine fit perfectly and I ordered my usual size. They're snug but definitely not too small. The material they're made of is slightly stretchy but my guess is that they won't 'break in' the same way that leather shoes do. I initially thought about getting the black pair but I literally have hundreds of black driving loafers. OK, that's a bit of an exaggeration but that's what led me to order the Amalfi Blue. I wasn't sure about the color scheme at first but it's really grown on me. It's a color that reinforces the fact that I'm a serious thinking man, but at the same time provides a bit of a change from my usual black loafers. I might end up getting the Graphite Gray and Canyon Brown. On top of everything, the shoes are sewn with thread made from recycled plastic bottles. What's not to like. I'll be wearing these shoes all summer. Highly recommended! ... show more
