The shingles are expensive but the product is discontinued in most places. If patching an old roof, these fit with the older discontinued styles.

They are smaller than the standard 3-tap shingle and they are way over priced. Three bundles will not cover a square. Whoever thought making them this size did not do any research in roofing. Amazon can do better in vetting the products they sell.

Some deviation from the shingles they’re replacing (Dow/Corning discontinued the color). I have contractors waiting for the product to install it but shipping is very slow fromTexas to Ca. It fits the bill, you might not notice the difference unless it was pointed out to you, but I don’t understand why this popular color was discontinued by Dow/Corning…increase roof replacement sales perhaps? In any event this was my only option, since no local vendors have any in stock and immediately report that it is dis-continued. ... show more

    • “3 Tab Shingles” are smaller than “Architectural.” Know your size.
Color: Tan 3-tab
These are probably returned a lot because they are smaller than what’s called architectural shingles. Here in Las Vegas when you go to Lowes or Home Depot you buy twice as many for half this price and the standard here is “Architectural.” The problem is, this style of architectural shingles have been made obsolete and you can’t match them up with what’s available now…planned obsolescence. Perfect color match to our 40-year-old shingles, but our old shingles are one METER long while these are one YARD long! We don't really care, since the entire roof needs to be redone, but we were a bit puzzled at first when the pattern didn't line up. Only thing i dislike about the roofing shingles i ordered was the quantity of them in which i was expecting there to be at least anywhere from 20 to 30 roofing shingles in a pack but instead you only had 8 shingles in the pack i received therefore i will not order anymore roofing shingles from amazon ... show more
