I read mixed reviews about this antenna yet I took a chance; and so glad I did. Looks fantastic on my 24 Silverado Custom and have had absolutely NO signal issues with AM or FM. Installation was almost too easy. Simply unscrew your factory antenna and find the right adaptor for your truck from the 2 that are included and screw back in. Product arrived and performs as expected. Build quality is on the higher end of my expectations. I have tested FM / AM reception and despite the manufacturers warning not to switch to a short antennae if you are a regular FM / AM listener have found it works well for my needs. I would note that the labels (vehicle type) and tools that the instruction video said I should have expected to be in the packaging were included. That said, none of it was necessary and the item went on easily with use of only my hands (wrench was needed to remove OEM antenna). ... show more

I was Not impressed with reception strength of the 6” model. It didn’t seem as strong as advertised. The design is nice but sound quality for me isn’t where I’d like it. Update: Ronin Customer is awesome. They reached out to me because I was disappointed and we worked out a solution. I ended up going with the 12” and reception is much better. THANK YOU Ronin Customer Service you all are great. I am currently giving 4 out of 5 stars based on im not sure how the 12” will do when I put the cover in my truck. I’m hoping I won’t have to remove the antenna that’s why I was excited about the 6” version since I know there’s be no issues. Updates on that will come later. Last update to complete the process…. So I have a 2017 Chevy Silverado Classic Crew Cab and a Covercraft cover for it. The 12” antenna has to be removed in order for the cover to go on. Now, you can cut a hole in the cover and use a grommet to allow the antenna to remain on but I didn’t want to do that. So I’m short I had yo unscrew the antenna from the base which is a simple process. All in all I will remain at my 4 of 5 stars due to the fact all my personal needs we need satisfied. No knock on the product or customer service Ronin provides, but it just didn’t do what I was hoping. Thanks again Ronin for all you do ... show more

Had the 50 cal antenna before this one but ended up getting tired of seeing everyone have the same one so I wanted something different. This antenna is sleek, high quality, and looks great on my truck. It was difficult for me personally to decide between the 8” and 12” but ended up just getting the 8”. I was tired of the stock antenna hitting a low spot on my garage ceiling every time I pull in and out. Same goes for whenever I go to the carwash. It's hard on it! All you need to do is use the proper included adapter and screw it on. No tools needed. So far I've had no issues, radio reception hasn't been affected at all.
