  • Very easy to use and clean up
I ordered this to help adhere pre-pasted wallpaper to paneling, after which I mounted on the ceiling of my entry. Sounds strange, but it was paintable, textured wallpaper that looks just like ceiling tiles and was cheaper than buying ceiling panels. I tried just using the wallpaper and water method like the instructions said, but the wallpaper didn't stick very well and was flimsy once it got wet. So here's what I did: I poured some of this wallpaper adhesive into a paint pan and added some water to make it a little more runny. I didn't think it needed to be quite as thick as it was - kind of a cross between Elmer's school glue and rubber cement. This is totally clear and like a gel. I then used a 4" paint brush and brushed the adhesive on the paneling in small sections, pressing the wallpaper on as I went to smooth out bubbles or wrinkles. I did not wet the wallpaper first. It worked great! I could reposition the wallpaper by lifting it up and moving it slightly and then pressing it down again, and it did not rip the wallpaper like it had when I was using only water. I let it sit for a few hours (I didn't have the paneling on the wall at this time, it was laying down on sawhorses). After a few hours I set the panels up on edge propped against the wall and let them dry overnight. The next day I installed the paneling on my ceiling, and it turned out very good. The wallpaper stuck and I now have a textured ceiling, ready to paint. Cleanup was very easy - the glue washed out of my paint brush with simply warm water (although I added some dish soap just to make sure), and it wasn't sticky or anything after the brush was dry. You can't tell I used the brush to apply glue. Same with the paint pan, rinsed out with warm water. I also like that this glue is clear and dries clear. I got a bit of glue on the wrong side of the wallpaper and it dried clear and you can't tell that there is glue there. I found this very easy to use, I didn't use the whole gallon (although I may have if I hadn't mixed it with water), and would definitely recommend this to make ANY wallpapering job so smoother. Much easier than the dip in water method. ... show more

  • Excellent Adhesive
Works perfect for hanging non-pasted wallpaper. Easy apply and cleanup. Very reasonably priced for the quality!

  • Great glue!
Great glue! Thick, doesn’t run and you dont have to put it on the paper and then wait a few for it to get tacky. I decided to cover up my bathroom’s pink tile as a short term solution (I dont like pink LOL) until it’s time to start the bathroom gut job/reno. I ordered this thicker wallpaper/vinyl that would cover and last until I got to this part of the house. I’m very happy with the results. One hint/suggestion if you plan on covering tile - do not apply the wallpaper directly to it. Its best to buy a roll of brown paperbag paper and glue that to the wall first - this will allow the wallpaper to go on smooth and you wont be able to see the grout lines through it when the paper sets into them. The wall doesnt have to be perfect especially if you get textured paper like I did but covering most imperfections goes a long way. Another thing: this glue smell is strong! Please ventillate the area. Open a window. Use a fan. I didnt and it triggered a migraine which then raised my blood pressure. It NOT the glue’s fault I was an idiot - please note that. I’m just saying it as a reminder. The smell may not seem strong but they are fumes so better to ventilate. It also goes a long way but dont be stingy either - a thin layer will not be enough. And if youre using textured paper, do NOT press on it. This will flatten the pattern and theres no need to do so. Just place it at the top and gently put it on the glue going downwards. You’ll also have a few mins to readjust and move it around but after 4-5min the paper becomes moist with the glue and will tear. Be gentle. Hope this helped 🤓 ... show more

  • Can't say enough good things!
I'm a seasoned DIYer, I've hung peel and stick wallpaper before. Never had I hung real wallaper that needed paste. Wallpaper is expensive so I was very worried about hanging it. I used this paste and it was soooo easy. It has harly any odor, the texture is similar to yogurt and it goes on very well. I rolled It onto the wall like paint and then hung the wallpaper up. It was so easy to do, and the if you put enough paste on the wall you have time to manipulate the wallpaper to where it needs to be with minimal struggle. It doesn't dry so fast that it's irritating and it's water clean up, so wiping up paste from the edges of the wallpaper was a breeze. I will definitely be buying this product again. ... show more

  • Easy to use and great adhesion, but…
Absolutely great heavy duty glue, but a bit of a “wet dog” smell. It’s very thick consistency, which makes it just a tiny bit hard to paint on, but not a problem, because it gives amazing results. I use this for all my silk and cloth like wallpaper. I recently had to remove one of my wall mural with this glue and it was very easy. Cleaning the glue was not as bad either. A steam cleaner would come in handy as well. I however had no difficulties with a bucket of hot water, dishwashing liquid and couple tablespoons of baking soda, and a double sided sponge with a rough side. Overall great glue and adhesion. I highly recommend it and have purchased many so far. ... show more

  • Great product
This is a great product at a good price. I used it not on wall paper but gluing raw canvas to a plywood vertical base and it worked great. After dry I came back and rolled a primer coat over the and canvas followed by coats of acrylic paint. I used it on a 5x6ft area and it barely made a dent in the can contents. I would recommend it for this use and I'm confident it would be more than sufficient for any other actual wallpaper application ... show more

  • Easy and forgiving
So far so good! It was easy to use, and forgiving when installing the wall paper, make sure to get the sides and corners of the paper well wet. I applied a thinckcoat of glue with a brush directly on the wall and not on the paper, which makes it a breeze to install.
