These work as intended with you space them out correctly, just read the recommended distance. As far as the rubber bands, yes they will need replaced. They are rubber after all and have a decent amount of tension on them. This comes with a spare set but you can buy more replacements for super cheap. These with first set bands had survived me catching the front end a few times already (lowered car problems). ... show more
