My daughter has been asking for roller skates for ages and I was worried about buying them online because her feet are still growing rapidly. I saw that these are adjustable and thought that was awesome. She is 7 and wears a 2 in most shoe sizes so I got the medium. She fell in love immediately and wanted us to put them on right when they were delivered. She is the one who got them out of the box and did all the steps to getting the lacing up. They have an adjustable front lace that will tighten the shoe up. They have a front break for stopping and while skating, the wheels light up. Since its a big break, its easier for her to stop and doesn't cause her to fall. There is a part of the side that you can push to adjust the sizing. She was able to do it by herself and choose what felt good for her. There are instructions included on how to use them and how to care for them. They seem sturdy on her feet and I think its great that they are padded. It took a little bit to learn how to skate but she is doing great now. In a couple of hours she had learned how to skate. These go to the roller rink & she uses them on concrete sidewalks as well. Sturdy, cute & she loves the light up wheels. You could even use the case they came in to transport them. Each skate came in it's own bag! Super thoughtful design & packaging. Easy to adjust. Skates are comfortable and easy to adjust! The light up wheels are very cute! Only complaint is the smell coming out the box. Definitely suggest opening the box outdoors and letting them air out. Almost like a very strong smoke smell!

My daughter had a pair she wore so much, the buckle snapped (after 2 years of regular use). We got a different brand but had to return because they were inferior in quality and fit to these. We purchased our second pair of these (larger size of course!) and she still loves them.
