Started out with adjustable skates that were heavy and hard to adjust to her little legs. These skates have a safety feature in that they lace up and have a velcro strap that goes across the top of the strings for extra safety and fit. These were a gift for both of my kids. These fit as expected and are more comfortable than kids' skates that can adjust the size. These are well made, easy to put on and roll nicely. I bought these for my 6 year old granddaughter. She absolutely loves them. They are made from very sturdy materials and look just like the photo. She is in a 13 1/2 youth shoes and I ordered a size one youth. It was a little small so I decided to replace with size 3 just to give her room to grow.
