3 hrs for an experianced builder of cheep glue wood dust furniture types. But it canbe done by yourself. Instructions are fairly vague and drawings are tiny.. So study and lay it out first then do the glueing of the dowels first to let them dry. Its heavy...the rubbery stuff on the feet means this isnt moving on carpet...or laminate floors either which is nice.. Espresso seems to be a weird shade between 70s walnut paneling and minwax "early american" stain color. Product came in a very damaged taped box but seemed okay upon first inspection. When assembling one of the ends shows cracked through "x" brace, which wasn't near any box damage. Had it been real wood not glue n dust press it would have been okay. Its being glued n clamped right now. To instal hinges work on "back side" of where it lifts and use a flash light to help see the alignment. Tops move smoothly hinges seem great. Decent for say your first apartment of a kids tv rm. Value...its way overpriced the only rea wood is sawdust mixed with glue and the chipboard chunks the hinges attach to. ... show more

Great table with lots of extra room. The baskets fold flat if you donโ€™t need them. You also get to pick which way the big part opens and if you need to you can just switch it by taking it apart and using the corresponding holes

This table is nicer than I thought it would be. It wasn't real hard to put together until the hinge part. I had to have hubby help with those. It's really heavy too. It fits perfect in my house. Very nice. I love the baskets. The only thing I don't like is that the rubber corner bumpers kept falling off so I had to glue them on. So glad I bought this table ... show more

It looks great and seems to be well built, delivery was faster than expected. The only down side is that some of the instruction were vague, study the drawings carefully especially when in stalling the spring/hinges, make sure to use the round screw holes and not the elongated holes. The shipping box had several holes and tears when delivered but no damage to the product. ... show more

I am so pleased with the table that I decided to write a review. I bought the rustic look and it just looks awesome. Table is really sturdy and interesting to assemble. Instructions are visual and not textual, which is a big plus, anyone can see them and assemble the table. Height of the table is perfect as a coffee table when not elevated and perfect when lifted to work on a laptop. Top when lifted is not wobbly. Price is reasonable as well because we looked at lift top tables at Ashley but they were far too expensive. Size of the table is also perfect. I was a little nervous when I saw so many reviews saying that the instructions were not clear. Every board had a letter label that corresponded to the instructions. I followed the directions step by step and found them surprisingly easy to follow. Finished in 1.5-2 hours. The box came with the required hardware, a small bag of extra hardware, two small bottles of glue, and a tiny screwdriver. Everything you need to put the table together is there. I had a bit of trouble lining the table top up perfectly. I might fiddle with it again another day. I think it just needs a tiny adjustment. I was also a little puzzled about the leftover pieces (x). They were not in the directions. Later realized they were for the corners. A nice โ€œextra.โ€ Overall, I am so excited to have the table. I love that we can pull the top up for eating or for working. It is sturdy. And so much space for storage. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ ... show more

Just a bit larger than I anticipated for f one reason but I am very happy wuth it. The inside space is larger too so that's a huge plus. Just the only thing definitely becareful opening it at first for a bit it really pops open and closes gently with a gentle push but stays up perfectly. It looks better than I imagined and the baskets are like a plastic fabric. It was extremely easy to assemble and truthfully I don't think the glue is needed at all but we'll see I guess lol. In the picture it shows a specific direction the table pulls up to. That is not the way it raises. I specifically looked for hours because of our couch layout and chose this one because it opened at that angle. Now I have it put together and it doesn't go with how our couches are.
