  • Like I am stunned…bought marked as used - acceptable …is in perfect new condition!
So out the gate I was hesitant to buy something so expensive that had a rating of used - acceptable and actually it came in pristine condition. Just didn’t have original box. And you know I took it out right away and started playing with. I have used Numark products for years and honestly that brand seems to be dropping quality. But this controller the Roland DJ 707M is amazing, sound comes out crisp. The controller is quick to learn you just need to play with it and if you run Virtual DJ as your dj software it super easy to setup. It doesn’t have a screen so you will need to use a laptop but that is ok. It is stacked with outputs and mic inputs, and being a Wedding DJ it is helpful to have all that. I never used a Roland product before this purchase but I can tell you my first impression is very good. A lot of the controllers don’t have many mic inputs or flexibility of two master outputs and two USB ports for backup compatibilities when running from a laptop. Great Purchase! ... show more

  • Lightweight yet powerful
We were upgrading older gear which included traditional amps, speakers, mixer, and decks, to self powered speakers and a mixer/deck combo. This thing is awesome as a light weight, super versatile, head unit for our new setup. Sounds great and easy to setup. The effects sound good but with Serato they lose a little value if only used for the music. Re-drumming with the build in drum beats is a little odd but that could be me. More practice with that before I would try it at a wedding. Caught it on a sale which made the purchase easier to justify. ... show more

  • Perfect for my needs, an important bug - problem
I bought this controller since I realized that is the only one meant for mobile DJs (my case). It is really a unique piece of hardware and has all what you will ever need for mobile use in weddings and similar parties. Maybe you already saw a lot of videos, I will concentrate in things that nobody, at least in what I saw, have mention. The screen is little but very, very usefull. Been able to match PBM just looking to those screens is fantastic, in fact, is very useful with the bug that I find in my unit, more on this bug latter on. Response time of the device are just great, as all reviews mention. Eventhough very simple Serato effects implementation, at the end it is very useful, just what you need at your finger tips, quick and fun. Sound quality is very good, punchy, the ability to compress signal before reaching the audio system is simply unique, and again, very usefull. The feedback eliminator in my case seems to work fine. I'm not able to say that the the mic pre-ams are of very high quality, they are just pre-amps and they are fine. Having two mics is useful, the same with the aux input. What nobody tells and it was dissapointing to me. You need to understand that this is a complete digital Mixer and for Serato exclusively, I was expecting some king of hybrid betwen analog and digital, what I want to say, if something goes wrong with your PC expect some drops in audio, the device must "reset" to enter, lets say, to analog mode. In fact, it is not a really 4 channel mixer for analag signals unless you have Serato doing all that work. Another finding is that even tought the controller has two USB inputs, at the end I realize that it is just one sound card working in a kind of layer, I say this becuase I tried to use Serato in USB A and Djay Pro in USB B and wierd things started to happen. So, just for your safety, if you want to use two PCs, both must be running Serato. Finally and the reason why this is not a 5 star review, this controller has a bug with serato, the sync button work fine 98% of the times, but that 2% of times when the sync botton is presseed it sincronize to very wierd values, far beyond the limit, lets say, 3500%, in live performace that means that your song suddenly ends and wierd noises appear. You will say that this is a problem of my library, maybe, but in the same computer, same song but another Serato controller, this does not happen. thanks and sorry for my english ... show more

  • The best DJ controller for mobile DJs with experience!
Great DJ controller that is perfect for the life of a mobile DJ with some years of experience DJIng. I don’t recommend this for brand new DJs. I would start off with a basic controller like the Pioneer DDJ-SB3 or the Pioneer DDJ-REV1. May even get the REV1 which is an upgrade from the SB3 in the future to prepare to possibly buy the REV7 in the future. This Roland controller is my first non-Pioneer DJ controller that I have owned and I am absolutely in love with it. I love that it is a 4-channel controller, I can take channel 3 and do live TR808 drumming and can take channel 4 and do live TR909 sound effects. Having 4 outlets for mic inputs is great. It’s also versatile for wedding photographers that need to plug into my controller for sound. ... show more

  • If You Need A Quality Controller with room for expansion this is it!
I had no hesitation in deciding to purchase this unit. I mean it IS A ROLAND.... Contrary to comments I've read, IT DOES HAVE A BUILT IN DRUM MACHINE WITH THE 707,808 SOUNDS! For some reason this isn't mentioned in the manual (Major Screw up printing/quality control dept. ?) I now prefer it over the Pioneer DJ Controllers. Sound better, Smaller, Lighter, Rock Solid Though and not cheaply built. (The Pioneer I still have DDJ-SX, Is well built also). More output channels, Sound Compressor, Limiter, Gate, Crossover, Dual Computer inputs, E.T.C. Well Done Roland and the price doesn't break the bank for the performance! ... show more

  • Equalizer and cue problem still not fixed !
This is the second time I buy it here and again I had to return it because the problem was not fixed, and it is impossible to contact the support service, you need to fill in a lot of documentation, in general, the problem is that when you press the button to listen to the channel, for some reason, the indicators also light up equalizer, although no signal is sent to the equalizer, now this is only one defective channel, but in the last purchase there were 3 of them and only one worked fine! why this problem was not fixed to me is not clear! ... show more

  • Awesome controller for a mobile DJ!!!!
The media could not be loaded. This controller works perfect with Serato DJ. It’s smaller then my Pioneer DDJ 1000SRT but does NOT lack in performance. I really like all the extra inputs it has, great for weddings! The jog wheels are a little small but work just fine. If you are looking for a smaller controller that has really good features and a quality build....this one is it. Highly recommended!!! ... show more
