I ordered these for my son anticipating a trip to the snow. When we opened them so he could try them on, he declared he loved them right away. The inside is super soft and comfortable. In fact, he ended up using them as pajamas for a week and I could barely get him out of them. But, when I needed to wash them I noticed that the "silky" (meaning polyester) outside was already starting to pill. When I pulled them out of the dryer, the elastic waistband was already warped. I wouldn't expect these to last through a long, rough winter. I'm going back to only purchasing 100% cotton thermals. ----------------------------------------- UPDATE (March 14, 2019): After my initial 2-star review, I was contacted by the seller who said I must've gotten ahold of a bad pair and offered to send my another at no extra cost! I was so pleasantly surprised and took them up on that offer. We received the new pair very quickly, and opened them up right away. This pair DID seem a bit thicker and softer. My son immediately wanted to put them on and exclaimed how comfortable they are. He absolutely loves them. He's been wearing them for at least a week now and there's been no pilling on this pair. I finally got them off of him and washed them and they failed much better through the wash! I am completely shocked. I very much appreciate the seller being so proactive. It's always a welcome surprise these days. Thank you for that alone! ... show more
