Description

The Rockville RGHR2 is the best gauge hole receiver on the market. We developed this to give you the best sound and the best features. Crazy loud! We put in a built in amplifier that is louder than other marine receivers on the market. The RMS power of the built in amp is 28 watt x 4 channels! It is crazy loud and can be heard over the sound of the wind when you are on the water! There is also a built in EQ to customize the sound to your taste. Included wired remote Rockville is the only brand on the market that I know of that supplies a wired remote with your radio. The wired remote is a must have for any marine radio. This is great for boats and other powersport applications. We also include an extra long 32.8 foot wire so you will not need any additional extension cables. Latest listening features The RGHR2 gives you many listening options. The Bluetooth technology allows you to stream audio from your Bluetooth enabled phone or other music player to the receiver. Our Bluetooth distance is 50 feet! There is also a USB input allowing you to listen to music stored on a thumb drive. You can plug in any audio device to the auxiliary input. There is a built in radio with crystal clear reception as well. Ability to connect multiple external amps This receiver makes your system expandable. Two sets of pre-amp outputs allow you to hook up external amps for your speakers and/or subs. This has front and switchable rear/sub pre-amp outputs so you can amplifiy your speakers and a subwoofer amplifier.

  • Works great in my 2006 Sea Ray 240 Sundeck
Style: Wired Remote
Nice loud system with good bass (I like the +7 setting for bass). Don't need a subwoofer - could feel the bass through my legs on the front seats. Bluetooth worked fine with an Android Pixel 2 phone (I tested that I could walk 50 feet away and it still was working), and the USB worked fine with an old 8 GB FAT32 thumb drive that I had laying around. I had to enlarge the hole in the dash where the original Clarion stereo was - couldn't use a hole saw because a hole already existed (see pics). I just drilled dozens of small holes to enlarge the original hole. System didn't power on at first because I didn't connect the yellow wire to the accessory switch. I decided to connect the yellow accessory wire to the red wire so it is always powered on when the battery switch is turned on (this is fine because I always turn my battery off when not using the boat). I didn't want any issues so I ran 12 gauge duplex tinned marine wire from a fused battery circuit to the Rockville receiver - dedicated circuit. (see pic) Also, I ran 14 gauge duplex tinned marine wire to all speakers. The 13 year old speakers work just fine - can't find anything wrong with them so I won't replace them. Went out on the lake a couple of days ago and floated in the middle while cleaning the interior. Ran the system for an hour. No problems so far. Cranked it up to top volume of 40 briefly just to test it, but mostly while stopped I had the volume between 10 and 20. ... show more

  • Great unit, lots of power! Wire BOTH power wires or it will not work!
Style: Wired Remote
Great head unit for the boat! It is easy to wire and use and really puts some power to the speakers without an amp even. Can’t go wrong with this head unit from what I have seen so far. The hole was needed to be enlarged for mounting compared to the clarion head unit it replaced. For all the 1-star reviews saying this unit doesn’t work... there are 2 power wires that you need to connect to power. The main red wire and the yellow memory wire. If you do not put power to the yellow memory wire, the unit will not power on. I’m very impressed with this head unit so far and it blows away the clarion I had in the boat previously. I don’t think I’ll even add an amp, it powers the kicker 8” speakers wonderfully! ... show more

  • Excellent gauge sized receiver for the money, easily paired and sound output is good.
Style: Wired Remote
Very good gauge sized receiver for the money, paired easily to my iPhone and sound quality is better than expected. I power it with a 400W amp to 2 6.5" speakers and sound is very good on the boat sitting still or running across the water.

  • Chrome bezel broke
Style: Wired Remote
The product Seems to be quality and sounds really great. The chrome bezel was a bear to remove and actually broke upon removal. They don’t make it easy to get off for installation.

  • Doesn’t last long.
Style: 4 Zone + Wired Remote
It first didn’t come with some of the cords I needed to install. Customer support said they were hard to find and it took about 5 months to get them. Once I did, I installed and it worked fine for the two trips we used it on and then on July 4th weekend it would t power on. I had power and ground all connected and tested all connections and fuses with a meter. If I hold the mode button it will power on as long as I hold the button but as soon as I let go it shuts off. Customer service said they can’t help and can’t even take it for repair, only option is to throw it away. (It’s JUST over a year since I bought it, but since they didn’t have all the items I. The box I could t use it but a few months. Just avoid this company, they are cheap for a reason. ... show more

  • Incredible Stereo!
Style: Wired Remote
I have been installing stereos for 25+ years. I am also a big sound snob. This unit has everything you would want to install and connect to amps, bluetooth, usb you name it! And the sound is incredible! I was hoping it would fit in the same hole that my old stereo remote used, but it was too big. I just pulled out one of my many cup holders and sat it in there, it actually is a pretty perfect place for it. The only thing I am not a huge fan of is the remote for it has the LED's lit up all the time. So if your boat sits for a long time between uses, it could drain your battery. ... show more
