A lot of people were saying they were having problems charging the unit; I believe this is a simple case of a misprint on the instruction manual. The instructions state to Place both switches in the off position for charging and when I did that it would not charge at all; however placing the battery switch in the on position and the light switch in the off it seems to charge just fine. The battery light will be red when charging and turn green when fully charged. Don't be alarmed the lights to make a slight noise/vibration and do smell like they are getting a little warm when charging this is normal leave your case open for cooling while charging as stated in the product description. ... show more

This is a very awesome light fixture. The only problem I have with it, is it’s too easily turned on while inside a bag like the Rockville bag RLB30. Need to have a switch cover placed on the switch to prevent being turned on. It’s so annoying when you discover the light is turned on while in the bag. Sometimes the battery is depleted. I purchased 13 of these in December of 2022. In 7 months, 3 of the rechargeable batteries have failed. Must be an issue, since the replacement battery for the device is on backorder. A good light fixture, yet the battery fail rate is too high for me.
