I’ve been wearing my Rockport shoes to a General Motors factory for over a year now. They are still going. No new inserts or repairs. These things won’t quit. They keep outlasting the laces!!! The only downside? They have suede leather for parts of the outside of the shoe. In Michigan, if it gets salty or wet, then they may shrink. I’ve been careful. Great shoes! ... show more

As far as the shoe, it's very well constructed, sturdy, but for me they are too hard and a bit heavy. I bought them looking for more support, and they give you that, but to work in them all day, I had to go with a more sneaker type. I wear a size 13W, been wearing Rockport shoes, both dress and casual, for almost 20 years. These shoes fit, but not as well as any of the other Rockports I've had. Sometimes it feels like I could step out of these shoes. Like if I were hiking through mud they would get pulled off ( haven't tried that yet, just seems like that). ... show more
