First impression not pleased with the frets they had burrs on the ends Quick solution I took a metal fingernail file and lightly ( being aware of the wood) and very carefully filed the burrs off that was the only fix I think for the money it's a good guitar some people bad mouth it but let's face it you're not buying an ovation balladeer or a Martin d9 I'm just getting back into it after not playing for 25 years You got this to see if I wanted to get back into it it's a great practice guitar and it serves its purpose plus it sounds good ... show more

I have bough this guitar because of the price and because it was supposed to be my very first guitar ever. I had no idea of strings, frets, chord etc . Just decided for myself that i want to self-learn to play it . My only teachers were youtube and some online courses . At first i was very excited. And heard about the fingertip pain and sore hand and stuff. But i did not expect to that painful. It it turned out to be the hight action on this guitar, and really really cheap and hard strings. I have ordered 2 other more expensive guitars to feel a difference, and returned them both. Instead i bought a guitar set up kit for like $25 and set up this guitar that now it plays and sounds like a $1000 top branded instrument. I have went above the returnable period for this rockjam and am so happy i did. A $50 guitar with a $25 kit made my learning so much joyful. Heck, i can easily take a bar chord on any fret. So my advise is to get this guitar if you are only begging, but you need to set it up. Otherwise it will make you think bad about playing one at all. And definitely get some light or extra light strings. I got mine, lowered the action, oiled the fret board, polished the frets and enjoyed the instrument ever since. And be sure that all the people that are saying that it sounds great are right. I had an Ibanez and a Taylorand since cheap piece of music is better. Good luck and play the guitars!!! ... show more

My son loved the guitar, but it arrived with a broken tuner o-ring. Other than that flaw, the guitar is perfect for my 13 year old. PS: Invest in better quality strings.

Plays well, the strings feels nice, tuners are okay -- don't stay in place super well after lots of playing (though still more than usable). Overall, an excellent beginner guitar and a steal for the price.

Can’t use it because the guitar came with a broken string. Also looks used. The other five strings are hard to tune. You get what you paid for. Cheap price = cheap item. It was returned.

The guitar came in 4 days later than when it said it was delivered the strings were all way out of tune, and when i went to tune the final E string it snapped on me the guitar doesn’t hold tune and needs to be constantly tuned. It sounds good when it is in tune but i wouldn’t recommend for beginners, waste of money and time. ... show more

At 55 years old, I decided to give the guitar another try. Years ago, a friend "loaned" me a guitar (well, he gave it to me and took it back.) Anyway, I decided to buy a cheap guitar and see if I still enjoyed it. I've been playing this guitar for a few months and love it. I plan on buying a more expensive acoustic with better action and cleaner sound, but my family thinks it sounds great, too.
