Rockin' Rider Legacy Grow-with-Me Pony grows with your child from a bouncer (9m+) to a rocker (12m+) to a spring horse (24m+). He sings the exclusive "I'm a Little Pony" song when his right ear is pressed and says 6 fun talking phrases with sound effects when his left ear is pressed. Your child will be amazed by Legacy's synchronized moving mouth when he sings and talks. The soft and huggable plush is preferred by both Moms and Kids. Parents will appreciate that Legacy converts from rocker to spring horse in minutes without tools. The safety seat is safe for toddlers as young as 9 months and can be removed as your child grows. Additional features include motion-activated galloping sounds, 2-position stirrups, easy-grip handles, a detailed colorful saddle, embroidered eyes, and a sturdy plastic base.     • Great rocking horse
Very cute rocking horse. Assembly is a pain in the butt, but it is worth getting it together. Not that the instructions are difficult, that is very straightforward. It is physically hard to put it together because you have to stretch the rubber pieces in order to get the plastic frame together. There are three ways to assemble this and I have assembled it two of the ways. The first way is for very small children who need to be supported on the horse; since my children are bigger, I didn't put the support on it. The second way, it becomes a rocking and bouncing horse. I prefer it this way because my son seems to enjoy rocking and bouncing. Plus, he is able to have his feet on the ground for support (he is almost 36"). The third way, is just a spring bounce horse. It is much higher, so he struggles to get on it. Once he is on it, he can bounce and loves it. The sound effects and songs the horse sings are fun and catchy. And of course the horse's mouth moving while he talks and sings is a nice touch as well. Even though this gift was not intended for my almost 4 year old, she enjoys playing with it also.     • Pony and Tek Nek Company Rock!
I just wanted to share my experience with this pony and with Tek Nek. We've had this pony for almost a year, we purchased as a Christmas present last year for our then 15 month old son. Our son loves this pony, and is one of only a few toys that he has never lost interest in. Like another reviewer, I too had concerns with the durability of the pony's ears, since that's how my son activated the talking and singing, by yanking HARD on both the pony's ears. I can report, that almost a year later, though the ears are a little mishappen and no longer stand up, there is not one rip or popped seam! That being said, we did end up having an issue with part of the frame on the base of the pony. Approximately 4-5 months after we converted the frame to the "big boy" setting, I noticed that the knobs on the inner frame pieces where the rubber bands attach started to pull inward from the force of the bands. The knobs eventually split at the base and tore halfway off. I went to the Tek Nek website to try to find where I could purchase replacement parts for the two inner frame pieces, but had no luck. I then sent an email to Tek Nek from their website explaining the problem and how much it would cost to buy the replacement parts I needed. Well, I can tell you how surprised and thrilled I was that not only did I receive a response to my email within a few hours, but was told that if I gave them my shipping address, they would send me the parts I needed for no additional charge. After giving my address, I received the replacement parts in just a few days. Thanks Tek Nek for a great product and outstanding customer service! ... show more

    • Baby loves it
We got this toy for our son's first birthday. Our house doesn't really have a whole lot of available floor space, so I was a little worried about how much space it might take up, but it's much more compact than I had thought it would be! I also wasn't too sure about the singing and stuff. I still think it's super creepy (especially when the pony named LEGACY says "Let's play FOREVER!"), but my son seems to genuinely prefer bouncing on his pony when the music is going, so I can put up with the weird mouth movements, creepy singing, and constantly having "I'M A LIT-TLE PO-NY, CLIPPETY CLOP, CLIPPETY CLOP" stuck in my head if it helps keep my son in one place for a few moments without crying that I'm not holding him! The little seat guard does a great job keeping him in place, even when the family dog realizes baby brother is in kissing range and immediately hurries over to smother him in kisses. Definitely a good toy for supervised play when you just need a moment to sit down after a long day of chasing a crawling baby all over the house! The only thing I could think of to complain about might be that the floor and the stirrups are both currently out of reach when my son is on the pony—and he's in the 95th percentile for height, so he's not exactly a short baby. Because of this, it did take a bit longer for my son to figure out how to get the pony to bounce on his own. But now that he's figured it out, he seems to be very pleased with his little pony, which makes me very pleased with it as well. ... show more

    • The horse was a hit. Putting it together - not so much
For close to a year, reviews have complained that the holes in the rubber band dowels were too big for the #10 screws supplied. I figured that after a year, the company had fixed the error. Silly me. The holes are too big for #10 screws and the dowel end caps are too small for #12s. I had to drill out the end caps to use #12s. I wasn't happy on Christmas Eve. I wrote to the company's customer service and got a cut-and-paste response that detailed a list of everything they wanted from me before they would send me replacement dowels. You would think that after all the complaints, responding quickly and in the affirmative would be a no-brainer. Just wish they would fix the @#%$& problem! As for the horse itself, it was a Christmas hit. My one year old grandson does not get off it. I have it set up in rocker mode and he rocks around the clock. The horse is cute and the electronics is cool for a kid. As others have stated, the rocker slides across the carpet, but my little cowboy doesn't mind at all. ... show more

My 1st grandson was 6 months old at Christmas & this is one of the gifts I got for him. This is the perfect first bounce horse for a little guy. It has a built in waist guard so he can support himself. The horse itself is plush & very soft, it also plays songs & talks when you press one of the ears. My son inlaw had it put together in less than a minute so the assembly is a cake walk. I am very happy I decided on this gift I went back & forth on purchasing & bc sometimes what you get online is not what you expected.
