  • Listing says compatible with Xbox One, it is not.
Does not work with the Xbox one as stated. Only compatible part is the USB plug, but it will never be recognized are the Xbox as it is not compatible.

  • Must buy for Rock Band 4
It's not often that a single accessory can totally change my gaming experience. I played RB way too much. For a time it was literally the only game I played and I probably burned out several of my old Xbox 360s because of it. When I got RB 4, I simply used my old RB 3 and my old RB Beatles mics. It was a bad idea as it was clear that my old mics were not registering properly. Songs that I used to easily gold star seemed suddenly out of reach. Launching overdrives was also a pain. The mics were picking up all the amibent sound and ruining combos for me. Even breathing was launching overdrives. I decided to buy the new mic and it made a huge difference. The mic is easy to hold, picks up my voice perfectly and doesn't pick up any of the music from the TV (and as a result I don't see overdrives launching for no reason). Long story short, if you're a vocalist and want a solid mic for RB 4 and the old mics don't cut it, then get this mic. Don't even wait, just do it ... show more

  • Worth it if you're singing on hard or expert
Oh what a difference a mic can make! We've been using our Rock Band 3 mic and it's been frustrating from time to time. I got this one as a birthday gift and wow, what a difference! I sing on expert and learned quickly I couldn't take some sort of vocal short cuts the old mic had let me get away with, but I've managed to gold star more than 25 songs since getting this in May so I think I'm getting the hang of it. It takes very little tapping to register the cowbell & tambourine bits, which is nice since with Rock Band 3 I learned to tap the mic on my wedding band as a work-around. When we have parties and play Rock Band I don't see a lot of difference between this and the old mic for the folk who sing on Medium or Easy with the exception of tapping. So, it may not be worth it to lay out the cash if you're not looking for a more exacting mic...unless the tapping is driving you nuts, then it's definitely worth it. ... show more

  • Must Cup mic to pick all words up.
You have to cup your hand around the mic for it to pick up all the portions of the words. Was advertised as new, may be a fault of the mic. Checked the settings in my Play Station, no problem there. I did purchase a used one before this and thought the cupping may have been a fault of the seller mailing it to me with the cord tightly wrapped around the mic as well as poorly padding it for shipping. Seems this mic is just average and honestly below average in my opinion. Wish I could just buy a normal mic for Rock Band. May explore this for the future. For now, as long as I cup the mic it works, still it be cool to just be able to sing straight into the mic like a normal microphone works. Bummer. ... show more

  • Worked perfectly
Came fast, works perfectly with Xbox 1 Rock band 4

  • This Mic DOES WORK with Xbox One *Edits*
I don't normally leave reviews, but I saw there was confusion as to whether the mic works with Xbox One or not: IT DOES! I did have to fully shut down my Xbox One and repower it on with the microphone hooked in the back. It did not work when I hooked the microphone up while the console was on, so if you have issues, try that. Hope this helps~ EDIT: After a couple weeks of use I've found the mic to be prone to fits of static. I'm not sure if it's due to an issue in the cable or the mic as there's no one remedy to the issue. Usually, at worst, I have to unplug and replug the mic in during a song. This isn't great, but it's still much better than trying to get by using my headset mic. This happens often enough for me to knock this down to a 3 star review. ... show more

  • A Big Let Down
It works, but barely. "Talky" parts hardly register and it doesn't pick up voice enought to trigger power sections which means it is worthless for Beatles Rock Band and is only good for Rock Band 4 if you trigger power with controller.

  • Does exactly what it says it does.
I had a bunch of RB2-3 gear and discovered that the mic would not work on the Xbox One X with RB4. This mic does! Also, the build quality feels a bit better than the previous generation mic.
