Keys light up - main reason I “upgraded” from original remote. Voice control works once you pair it in TV settings. The negatives so far: - Generic branded remote. Some reviews stated it had Sony label - mine did not. To be fair, product description doesn’t claim to be Sony branded. - Direction button is slightly loose, and makes the device feel cheap. Very nice quality. Setup was very simple, insert batteries and turn on! Only had to pair it with our SONYAJ80-65 when discovered needed for voice control. So much nicer than OEM that came with the TV. Nicest thing...lights at night!

My puppy has gotten the remote (one of his favorite toys) several times and it still works. I had another one from a different company that he got once and it was decimated. A+ for puppy households.

This remote works exactly as my original remote, but adds backlit buttons. I did have to re-pair it with my TV for the voice recognition to work, but that was easy.

The remote has the Sony logo on the front/bottom, worked right out of the box after adding 2 AA batteries. On my Sony A80J I only had to sync the Voice/Microphone button (think that's a Bluetooth function). Simply pressed the Microphone button and the TV instructed me how to pair the remote via screen pics/instructions (2 steps, simple). The remote IS LIGHTED. Great buy! ... show more

My original remote that came with my Sony 80J did not light up, and since I watch many shows in the dark, this was purchased right after my tv. It is very nice, feels solid and luxurious if that is possible for a remote. The illumination is enough for my old eyes, and I love that it senses movement to light up. If it dies, or gets broken I will spend the money on another one! ... show more
