Description

PERFECT item to build your own custom motorcycle trailer! Torsional stub axles use specially formulated "rubber" cords to cushion the turning of the inner bar to create the best suspension on the market today. This progressive torque action provides the best shock absorption, load handling and durability features that are available for all types of trailers. The independent action of each wheel reduces shock transfer and trailer sway. Includes (2) torsional stub axles with 1" straight spindles, castle nuts and cotter pins. Spindle arms are positioned at 45° downward starting angle with 2-1/2" of travel. Stub axles do not include flanges for mounting electric or hydraulic brakes. Rated 1,000 lbs. per stub, 2,000 lbs. per pair. Also included are two 5-bolt on 4-1/2 inch bolt circle hubs equipped with (2) seals, (4) inner/outer bearings, (2) dust caps, (2) cotter pins and (10) lug nuts. Hubs measure 4-1/4" tall with a pilot diameter of 2-1/2", a flange diameter of 5.56", with 1/2"-20 diameter studs. Hubs come equipped with pressed in races. Please note: 18.5 X 8.5 OR 20.5 X 8 "DOUGHNUT" TIRES CANNOT BE USED WITH THESE TORSIONAL AXLES. THOSE TIRES WILL NOT CLEAR AXLE ARM.

  • Works great and rides great.
I have been very happy with the quality of the product. I upgraded my utility trailer to an overlanding/off-roading trailer. I am now running 33x12.50 tires. Flexes really well and gives a lot of ground clearance. Would like to see more videos of how to installs, but it wasn’t that hard to figure out. I wish I would have made a video of it, but I was in a rush getting ready for a trip. ... show more

  • Great set of torsion axles.
Mounted 2 sets of these on boat trailer. They work great. Pulled the boat over 500 miles in the last 2 weeks and everything was great

  • Seem to be stronger than 2,000 lbs
I bought these to make an axle for my smoker. So my smoker and trailer weigh about 1,300# (the smoker is made with 3/8" thick, 24" pipe). So you would assume that the torsion axles would flex upward when the weight of the trail was put on them. I can't tell or see that they move at all. Even when I stand on the rear bumper and bounce it barely moves (I weigh 300#). Then my 14" rims did not fit. The bolt pattern and hub space was good. The rim was hitting the swing arm. So instead of buying new rims and ties, I bought 1.5" spacers and the seems to have worked. I did not try to return them, because I welded them on. It would be a real pain the cut them out (I welded in the bolt holes). ... show more

  • The wheels on my trailer go round and round
So far they work great. The springs are nice and stiff. The hubs had all the parts, good instructions and went together easy.

  • Nice axles. Everything you need.
I needed a small trailer for around the property, that I could pull with the 4 wheeler. After looking at how poorly built the 5x8 trailers were at the local big box hardware, that cost $1000, I just decided to build my own. Since it would be a custom size, having the separate axle halves, was a huge plus. After the build, I loaded 20 sheets of 3/4” OSB on it, and it barely even moved the suspension. Maybe I should have gone lighter.... Naw. ... show more

A high standard of material and workmanship on the axles, mounts, and hubs. I would highly recommend for a trailer project.
