These boot are easy to break into. They are comfortable for a 12 hour shift and look great. Love the side zip feature of the boots. Boots are about average if not less I'm weight compared to other brands. Both boots that I have bought have great grip. Only negative is that the insert could be a little better. The media could not be loaded. Boot is similar to the RG boot at Big 5 but glossy and not stiff in calve area. Lightweight and durable quality. True fit so does not squeeze my toes together. Great for security or law enforcement. Best to put airplus ultra work boot (Walmart $9) insoles for added comfort. ... show more

I work as a firefighter and needed a pair of boots after the pair I had from Danner had to be sent in to be rebuilt. I figured I could take a flyer on a cheaper set since I wouldn't be using them much and would rotate them in and out as needed. However, I feel that these are 25% of the function of most duty boots at 75% the cost. The zipper is cheap and typically takes some effort to get it up. The tongue and inside side flap lacks any integrity and falls haphazardly inside the boot. These are not waterproof. The cushioning felt acceptable upon arrival but within a few shifts the soles are uncomfortable and feel rock hard. The hook and loop (aka Velcro) that is at the top of the zipper is cheap and after approximately 15 shifts, does not have much holding power. On the plus side, I was able to get them shipped same day and they do look nice. ... show more

UPDATE 9/30/2023 : As I loved these boots because of lightweight. I have to change my review. After a mere 6 months the boot has come apart near the stitching. Here I thought the entire boot was stitched. WRONG. Apparently the toe is stitched, 2 lil stitches in the middle and the heel. So that left them to glue the rest. My work is simple inventory. Disappointed they didn’t even last a year. So I’m removing 2 stars. REVIEWED on 08/28/2023 >These boots are lightweight and comfortable. I purchased back in April. Still going strong. Best part about these boots, they are STITCHED not glued together. I have tried a few other brands but they were glued. I plan to buy another pair before the price goes up. ****A side note, these boots will stretch a little after you wear them a while. ... show more
