These skates are high quality and have a stiffness rating for ankle support necessary for the lower US Figure Skating Basic classes. The sizes run small, in general one full size small. My daughter wears US size 10 right now, we bought size 11 and they fit perfectly. These boots are also meant for skaters with tapered toes. DO RESEARCH on the sizing and shape of different skate brands and the stiffness ratings necessary for the weight and class level your skater is in before you buy any pair of figure skates. My niece was wearing Riedell skates also and they never fit her foot correctly because she has more of a boxed toe pattern. She needed Jackson brand skates to fit her feet properly because the boots are shaped for that specific toe pattern. If your child is serious about moving forward with the skate lessons, one of these brands are a must to give them proper support. My daughter had one of the cheaper brands we had bought from a sporting goods store when she started skating and she had got to the point where she was unable to properly perform the skills necessary to pass her class until her instructor recomended we buy one of these brands. After research, we went with Riedell for my daughter's needs and these skates gave her enough ankle support to perform her skills properly and move up to the next level. ... show more

Got these for my 8 yr old daughter for learn to skate badge 5. They were recommended by the figure skating pro at the rink. My daughter likes them and says they are good and don’t hurt her feet.

Not as much support as I would have expected. Plus the toe pick is a bit large for her learning level (4).

I bought it for my 8 years old daughter and according her its really comfy, she like it she have cheap one i got but its kinda hurt her feet, she complain the last time after class but not that really bad all and all she lover her new skate boots she's using it for ice skate class

They are beautiful, comfortable, and they feel great when skating. They do run a little smaller though, I originally got a size 2 but I had to return it for a size 2 1/2.
