Compared to the Barton adapters, these are a piece of cake to install. They come with everything you need minus some patience. My only gripes are that they are very loose fitting and the spring bars are much thinner than the originals or even the Barton adapters. The loose fit is kind of good in a way since it allows the adapters to spread and causes the watch to lay a bit flatter on your wrist, however, they do feel a bit flimsy because of this. I've attached some pics so you can see the difference. The Ritchie adapters are on the 5600 with a Red Strap, and Bartons on the Black. The Bartons do not move AT ALL, however, they are a nightmare to install and require taking off the steel back plate on a 5600. A bit easier on larger G's like the GA-100, with no backplate removal necessary. The Bartons also required me to "SNAP" the metal plate back on as they overlap it a bit. The Richie's on the other hand, went on without any issue other than just holding them in place while you compress the spring bar. No need to remove the shroud or the back plate. World of difference here. On the G's that I plan to be active in I prefer the Bartons (GA-100 XL and 5610) as they feel more secure (if you're lucky enough to get them properly seated), but on my basic 5600, the Ritchies are fine. I'm dropping a star for the overly loose fit and one more for the wimpy pins. If the fit was still able to swivel a tiny bit (unlike the Bartons) and the pins were more substantial, these would be a solid set of adapters. ... show more

The quality of the adapters is Ok. I would say great but the paint is fragile and there are some parting marks from the mold. Not enough to deter me from purchasing, but it could be better. The parts fit and once installed work great. You want to install the adapters so the name “ Richie Strap”. Faces out. When re-installing the Allen Screws, leave them loose enough that everything can rotate and move around. It will be more comfortable and you will avoid distorting the wrist guides. If you- re super Amal, you’d want to take a jewelers file to the adapters and then re-spray them...or not. I would definitely recommend. Now any inexpensive 22mm strap will work. I use these adapters with a 2 piece NATO strap and it works perfectly. It is so much more comfortable than the factory strap, it’s not even funny. With the NATO strap you don’t even know you’re wearing the watch. And if the strap wears out, it is cheap and easy to replace with anything at all in 22mm. ... show more

This is a nice product which comes with a handy selection of tools and pins. The finish was good and there were no sharp edges as reported by other reviewers. It fit a 22mm watch band from a different manufacturer that I purchased at the same time perfectly. However, I bought it in hopes of using it on a Casio GD-350 vibrate alert watch and that particular watch has more setback to the pin holes than a standard G-shock. The pin couldn’t reach the holes in the watch shoulders and I can’t use these adapters. I’m not knocking it down for that however. It wasn’t advertised to work for the GD-350 and hopefully my review will prevent other GD-350 owners from purchasing it. I’m going to try another brand sold on EBay, and if I still have problems will resort to sanding down the shoulders adjacent to the pins to make one or the other adapter sets work. ... show more

This adapter is about as close to invisible as you're going to get. Lets you use a standard or Nato strap easily. On my G300, I had to hit the watch with a palm sander for about 15 seconds, before the adapter would go in far enough. Literally just took the Casio strap off, and held that edge of the watch against the 80 grit. I tried a plastic adapter from another company, but it was harder to get seated, held the watch away from my wrist, and just didn't look good. (It came with this Nato strap, though - worth it for that). ... show more

These metal watch strao adapters for are great especially when you have an allergic reaction to the rubber silicone straps that come with the G-shocks... wish there's one for the GGB100 Mudmaster too so that I can put on a nylon or metal mesh strap...
