This icing is definitely worth the cost. It tastes amazing. I always get compliments on it. The large amount lasts for a good amount of time, it cuts down time spent making icing, leaving me less stressed when super busy! It whips up very well, and absorbs color well too. My new favorite!

I make custom cakes out of my home and found this butter cream maybe two years ago. Figured I’d give it a try and oh my god it tastes amazing. I always get compliments on my cakes Frosting and what do I use. I’ve ordered at least 10 so far. I will always recommend this product as well as keep buying it in the future. The only negative I have ever come up with is the price difference between white buttercream (My go to) and the colored buttercreams. The white is almost double the price at times. Which makes sense that it would be a little more. But I’m never going to go through that much yellow or purple buttercream before it spoils. The price for the white buttercream isn’t horrible the price does drop often for a bit saving me an extra $15 which is great for a small time business owner like myself. Although I do wish they had smaller containers of the colored ones to be able to save myself some money without wasting any product. If you have the business coming in and use a lot of colored buttercream then you should definitely go for them. Either way it’s worth it trust me you will not regret this purchase and everyone will tell you how great it taste. ... show more

I'm a home baker. But after a stint in a well known ice cream and cake company, where I built ice cream cakes, we used tubs like this. I got a bug to make cakes at home, ordered some tools, some tips, started, but making that buttercream... tricky to get consistency. This is my dream, I love the consistency of this buttercream. The flavor is more powder sugar than mine, but it holds up to additional flavorings, colorings, and their website had a cheat, if thins too much, add a bit of powder sugar. If too thick, whip well. I will re-review in a while, tell how it holds up over time, how long a tub this size is practical for the small baker, but here's a pic of a lemon buttermilk cake with lemony lemon icing, in process, it spins easy, smooths perfect, tastes amazing plain, or with a few drops of your favorite flavoring. Great product! And 74$, id pay waay more in butter and powdered sugar, ...and time! ... show more

I am a hobby baker that bakes cakes out of my home as a side gig. I had a bunch of orders so I needed to buy some premade frosting to be able to complete everything and work my full-time job at the same time. I was very hesitant to buy a premade frosting because I’ve heard all kinds of reviews about bad flavors and/or being greasy. In my quest to find something I could/would use, I went to different bakeries and tried different brands of pre made frostings including Brill brand and Satin brand. I can tell you, this one is the closest to my homemade American buttercream in both flavor and mouth-feel! It really does taste like homemade American buttercream. And it doesn’t have a bad aftertaste or feel greasy in your mouth. One thing I really appreciated about the frosting, is that it is so easy to work with. You just put it in your stand mixer with the paddle attachment and stir it for a little bit and it is a smooth finishing consistency. Made my cakes and life so much easier! It takes color pretty well. I did notice I needed a little more color than I would have thought to achieve the color I wanted but not so much that it messes up the flavor. It also has a long shelf-life and stored well down in my finished basement area for almost 2 months. (Yes, I got through a 35lb bucket in less than two months! That’s a lot of cakes in my book!) I’m sure if you store it per directions it would store even longer if needed. ... show more

    • Worked for what I needed
As is this product is okay flavor wise and is easy to spread on cakes. I added different extracts to get a better flavor; both almond and vanilla were very good. It is not a true white, but takes color extremely well. I purchased it to save time on making my own icing for my son's wedding cake and iced cookies. The kids loved it and adults were happy; some asked for the recipe. For me the price was a bit high, but it was a convenience issue. I can purchase bright white icing from a local store bakery for less and I can use it as is. They use Brill. Overall, I would buy it again if I had a large amount of cakes to make to save my sanity. ... show more

    • Loyal customer no longer happy with this product. What has changed?
I’ve been using this product for a little over a year and a half, and in the beginning, the product was amazing and in the last two months the product has been terrible. I’ve had multiple complaints from longtime customers that say that the frosting was melting off of the cake. Whatever they’ve done to this product but it seriously needs to stop and they need to go back to the original formula. I will not hesitate to discontinue using this and move onto another vendor that has a better quality product, even if I have to pay a little more. I know at this point I’m ready to contact the actual company to inquire on whether or not the formula was changed, and if it wasn’t why they insisted on putting out a bad batch.. I live in Florida I thought maybe it was because of the heat we were having and the time the bucket spent on the Amazon vehicles in high temp weather but I’m noticing that this is happening to other customers that have bought it in other states, so I’m convinced it’s a bad batch that was put out there or a change to the recipe without a notification to those who have a loyalty to this product ... show more
