My 8 year old loves these. He is taking drum lessons and wanted nicer cymbals than what came with his junior drum set. These are for full size drums so he will be able to keep them when he upgrades his drum set to a full size. They sound good and are heavy duty. They look nice and my son loves to practice his music with them so I’d say they are a great value. ... show more

Overall I think these are worth the $100. They are decent quality, though the cymbals feel pretty thin and cheap. But they’re $100, so that’s to be expected. The drum mutes work super well, and really deaden the volume of the drums. I’m not trying to bass drum one because I don’t want to stick the Velcro to my bass drum head. I wish it were a regular mute like the rest of the drums. The cymbals sound decent, good enough for practicing. Overall I would recommend these for a practice kit at home when your goal is to make your drums quieter. ... show more

I received these late yesterday and got them setup on my kit this morning. I am a casual player for my own personal enjoyment. Prior to the I had Paiste PST7's on the kit. When playing or practicing I had to use hearing protection as it was just too loud. This made it difficult to hear the background music I was playing to. With the Soundpier cymbals and drum mutes, the sound level is lowered enough that I no longer need to use the headphones. And for the sound... These are amazing! I get a very nice "chick" from the hi-hats and an excellent bell from the ride. The 18" crash a very nice tone and sustain. The drum mutes also sound very nice. The whole setup is not quiet enough to use when other people are in the house but I now able to enjoy my time on the drums much more with this cymbal and mutes set. ... show more

Wow Only thing the symbols are good for is if your tone deaf and don’t care or you’re just using them to make a “stunt” drum set look cool a.k.a. a prop. That’s it.
