  • Everyone I know love this thing and can’t believe the price.
I live in Miami Beach and I’ve been siting everywhere for a few years now. Work, beach, groceries... I do everything in a board. I had a Rayne and loved it until a car ran it over. The trucks were fine so I ordered an Arbor deck. Hated it. Then I found this one and I thought the design and colors were cool and it came complete so I would have some spare parts. When this thing came in I couldn’t believe it. It’s heavy and solid and the dip creates a lit center of gravity. It goes over everything that would normally mess you up. I saw some people saying it cracked on them and I have no idea how that’s issuable unless it was seriously damaged in shipping. All my friends ride and when we meet up we have like 6-10 boards with us and this one is the favorite. Totally worth it. The only thing I would say is that I used my Gullwing Sidewinder 2 trucks and bigger wheels. The regular trucks weren’t my favorite but custom trucks still aren’t going to make this thing anywhere close to expensive for what you get. I switched out my ABEC7 bearing for the 9’s this came with and they feel great too. Oh yeah, I also let a friend try it who does not skate at all and she took off on it right away. It’s so solid and wide it gives anyone confidence it’s going to be easy to balance in and get speed/carve. If you’re thinking about it, do it. If you don’t like it I’ll buy it from you 😂 ... show more

  • good quality for what you pay.
i used to ride longboards a few years back, had some very very expensive boards and i loved it! well, eventually life took over and i no longer had time or energy to ride anymore, so i sold them. a few years later my brother sees a youtube video of someone longboarding, and he decided he wanted to buy one and try it out, so ifigured what the heck, and bought one with him just to teach him and just have some family fun. i did extensive research on over 50 different boards all under the price of 160$, in the end i ended up choosing this retrospec board and couldnt be more pleased. i read all the reviews on this board and was hesitant on ordering it because of all the bad revviews and messed up boards. well im 5"11 at about 210lbs and the board hold me great, feels great and handles great. upon receiving the package i noticed the mail carriers did not handle it with care, the box arrived with a few tears and holes, wasnt looking too promising, however, when i opened the box i was sure to inspect the board very well, and the only bad thing i can say is the grip tape is just a little off in certain places, you dont really notice it unless you are really looking at it. 9/10 would buy again ... show more

  • Good!
Color: Aqua Edge
really good board, if you want a faster board you might want to buy some other bearings but overall this board is really good.

  • Great board for beginners
Color: Black Edge
This board is excellent if you're first learning how to ride. I recommend paying 15 bucks to replace the bearings with some Bones Reds, and you'll be set. The grip tape is pretty cheap and peels from the edges, but I never had a problem with it. For $80, it's more than enough!

  • What I paid for.
Color: Aqua Edge
The media could not be loaded. In terms of you get what you paid for, I paid for a cheap long board. In return I got one. Now this item is still more value than what you can get at Walmart. The deck is made out of what I presume as maple based on the description. It’s not a high quality maple as there are remnants of knots in the board that I can see. The trucks are cheap trucks(as expected) the bearings are something to wish for better(as expected. buy some Bones Reds for 20 bucks at Zumiez or here on Amazon refer to attached video for improvement) the wheels seem pretty nice. they are a softer urethane, thats fine. there is room for a bit better grip tape, but im not upset with it. All in all I paid 80 dollars for a cheap completed long board, and received one. If you want something of higher quality buy from somewhere like CCS or Zumiez, but expect to pay 120-300 dollars for one. Its worth what I paid for it. ... show more

  • Quality Board for The Price!
Color: Black Edge
I have been skateboarding since I was 12, and this is the nicest board Ive had so far. I had a cheap Quest longboard from Walmart which is extremely stiff. The Retrospec board is flexible and turns very well in comparison. I will say that the plastic is hard to unwrap unless you take the trucks off. The griptape has two large bubbles in it. The box was also damaged, but thankfully the longboard was in great shape. ... show more

  • Great board
Color: Aqua Edge
I hate reading reviews because I swear I think there all I fake and I never write any. I got this for my girlfriend as a birthday present. We're both long time longboarders. It looks, amazing feels, and all around is an fantastic board. She's had it since August and it's now December and it's still holding up perfectly. If your on the fence and was like me and went threw a freaking million reviews on other boards and thinking about grabbing this one. I can say you won't be let down. One thing I will tell you that I did read and do recommend is that for the love of God buy bearings and change them out. The ones in the wheels are dog poop. I bought red's when I got the board as well and it was a super huge difference I just took the ones they gave and put them on older wheels. To sum it up yes buy the freaking board. When you see it I promise you will say. Shheeeessshh. Lol have a good day. ... show more

  • Deck tape sucks
This board is very comfortable to ride. I have an off road board that I also ride. This one is noisier because of the street wheels, but the deck has some good flex to it. It does feel cheaper than my other board. The deck seems light, the deck tape isn’t that grippy and has started to lift off at the drop of the board. Besides that. Just be sure to tune your board for your weight. Trucks and wheels. It’s a great value for the price. ... show more
