  • Awesome port despite the 26GB file size!
Going into Resident Evil Revelations Collection I already knew that they split the 2 games up as a physical and download due to data restrictions, but my only complaint is Capcom could've been more conservative since 26GB is a bit much. Now that I got that out of the way Resident Evil Revelations 1 is fantastic and I thought that when I played the demo for 3DS and Wii U, but never got the games at that time. Revelations appears to be 1080P at 60FPS in Docked mode and 720P at 60FPS in Handheld mode for the tech portion of things. The game runs super smooth and sounds amazing additionally the motion controls are very fluid and add more precision to shots and knife combat. I also like using the motion controls to break out of grabs instead of barring down on the left thumb stick so I think this is a solid port of the game. Revelations 2 on the other hand runs marginally slower overall, but still very smooth so I would say 1080P at 30FPS in Docked and 720P at 30FPS in Handheld mode. This game is available via a 23.6GB download code which is pretty hefty, but it's a good game none-the-less and luckily Micro SD cards aren't that expensive for large capacity. The graphics look really good in this game, but the style of gameplay is similar to that of Resident Evil 5 and 6 and the game looks a lot more polished than it did on PS Vita so that is great. I would've rather had 2 cartridges or more compression to fit both on one 32GB cart, but it's fine either way. I would recommend these games if you never played them before as they are really fun and provide hours of content in addition to being great portable games. *Update (12/14/2017)* Apparently both games are actually running at 1080P with 60FPS the issue with inconsistency is mainly due to the frame rate being unlocked. This is a problem with Revelations 2 more so than Revelations so I hope a future patch can fix the issues with it so it runs smooth similar to the update the PS4 version got. ... show more

  • Resident Evildoers
This is an epic game definitely worth a play through. The first revelations in my opinion is one of the best resident evils of all time (not the best). Having it on the go is amazing and with excellent performance. This looks like the ps4/Xbox one remasters but these games are locked at 30fps to stay visually enhanced on the switch. I will say that revelations 2 isn’t great but it is fun especially with the new motion controls feature. Also I recommend using the amiibo support if you’re a returning veteran of this game. RAID mode is also insanely addictive. Also for everyone complaining about revelations 2 being digital, I agree there should have been a cartridge but the description on every website and the cartridges would have increased the price. Getting both of these games for $15 each is an awesome deal. Add a second cartridge would have been an extra $10. Maybe an option to buy both cartridges for those who want physical copies would have been good. I own very few digital copies because I like to collect the physical copies, however this doesn’t mean I would bomb the review with a one star. One star means broken or unplayable in gaming terms. ... show more

  • Two Great Games
A great two pack (even if one requires a digital download), both have great framerate, action, and many unlockables and extra modes to ensure replay value. Two great games, but I believe the hat is off to Revelations 1: there's no substitute for a good old fashioned overly dramatic story.

  • Must-Own Standout Classics On Switch
Wow, where to begin. Capcom crushed it with this release. Incredible ports. Full 1080p for both games, full 720p in handheld mode. No dynamic scaling res. It's full HD... all of the time. And it really shows. These games look incredible on Switch and the games are extremely done well done all-around. Motion controls (work fabulous, I almost want to say they work even better than Zelda). There is touchscreen support and even amiibo support! And exclusive mini games for loading screens or whenever you want. And the graphics look top notch. It feels like playing the Xbox One/PS4 versions, but on Switch. I remember the second game on Vita... wow, how far we've come. Never thought I'd be playing the PS4 versions in the palm of my hand with motion controls and amiibo content. Ha! If you own a Nintendo Switch, this game needs to be in your collection. Both of them. ... show more

  • Amazing games, I can't believe the price
I didn't realize there were "adult" games on the Switch so being a big Resident Evil fan I got excited when I saw this. I have yet to play Rev1 because I was really excited to play campaign co-op with my wife in Rev2 and I was not disappointed. The story is great, and we were not disappointed. Raid mode is arguably just as much fun maybe even more than the campaign. This price for 2 full games is also an excellent deal, just be sure you're getting a new copy since Rev2 is a digital download that will not be available on a used copy. ... show more
