The tips that came with my Kindle Scribe pen were dulling so quickly. I bought these metal replacement tips and love them!

    • Durability by sacrificing precision
I tried these in two different pens. First I tried it in an off brand pen, and the results were horrible. It was unusable in that pen because it was picking up about 1cm before the pen touched the screen. I was worried I broke the pen because it was behaving just as erratic for a while after switching back to the original tip, but maybe 5 mins later it started working how it used to. In the standard Kindle Scribe pen, these tips did work, but not as well as the original tips. I would say that if you are mostly writing, and not doing any drawing, these could be a great choice for you. They should last almost forever without needing replaced. However, if you like to use your device to draw, especially shading, these tips are probably not a good choice. It's very iffy whether or not you can get a light line with these tips, it tends towards being darker without much pressure. You may have different luck than me on a different pen or different device. It's hard to say. ... show more

The tip that comes preinstalled on the Kindle Scribe Premium Pen is...serviceable, but not the greatest. I replaced it with one of these metal tips and...WOW! The writing sensation is SOOO much better. And the way the Scribe's screen is constructed, you're not really scratching up the screen (at least from what I can see). Using these tips makes writing feel much more authentic. ... show more
