Definitely. Customers are delighted with the HP 17 bottom case's seamless fit and easy installation. It's a great purchase if you need to restore an old laptop but be prepared for additional repairs if you have hinge problems.

If you're looking at this, I'm pretty sure there's a good chance your monitor hinges seized up and eventually broke your HP 17 case as well. This bottom case cover was a perfect one-to-one replacement for mine. Hinges fixed, laptop back together like new. Be aware that if the hinges are indeed your problem, they attach directly to the top cover, and you'll likely either need to replace that as well, or get acquainted with a little JB Weld in order to anchor the brass inserts again. ... show more
