See the photos for reference to my review. I have always used excel to track my workouts and thought this would be a good alternative and it is great in some ways but lacks in others. Pros: Great for Starting and progress tracking great for exercise day tracking and body measurement tracking Cons: Lacks the ability to track different exercises on different days. I cycle my workouts, M=legs, T=Back & Biceps, W=Yoga, Th=Legs, Fri=chest shoulders Triceps. On the Weekly workout tracker pages (Majority of the Log) it only gives you 6 spaces for exercises. (See Picture of Weekly Workout Tracker). I do 2 exercises per muscle group at each workout so this just doesn't work for someone who has muscle focused lifts. It does provide a way to show your reps and weight for each set but would only work if you did 6 exercises for the week. Originally i just drew lines for the exercises but ended up just going back to excel. ... show more

I have big hand writing, so my only complaint is that the book is rather small, and I have trouble fitting everything into the sections I want to write in. I ended up giving this to a guy at work who has tiny hand writing and he loves it!

Getting the fitness journal was a real help for me. I have kept various journals in my past, but found it easy to misplace the page or pages of information, depending upon how I recorded it. This fitness journal has helped to get me back on track. As shown in the product description photos, the journal starts you out with a page for recording your current physical state, along with your goals and has a before and after category. The journal continues with another place to record your goals. VERY IMPORTANT! and then a monthly exercise tracker page. Helpful again to give you the incentive to do something every day to fill out the chart! A weekly measurement tracker lets you log information to easily see your progress. The introduction set of pages is then followed by Weekly Workout Tracker pages to fill in as you train. There may be some things different for you when using this journal. For me, I still like to track daily events: Walking, Running, Biking, Skiing, etc. with the start time of the event, the event duration, and if it applies, the distance of the event. I would like to have this on each logging page on a daily basis. With the journal, I can add this on the exercise page, but it would have been nice to have the columns already specifying the headings I use. ... show more

pair this with my Samsung fitness app connected to my active watch. Sometimes I just need to write things down on paper instead of just recording things digitally. It has you plan your workouts and my brain works in a way that if I see it written down, I'll do it. It helps that I plan ahead for the workouts so I don't have to figure it out day by day. Recording my food and water intake on paper and in my fitness app helps me be more mindful of what's going in my body since I have to record it twice. I love how it also takes into consideration your mental health. Looking back at my "why" definitely helps me when I feel discouraged. This journal absolutely gave me the tools to stick with it and be more mindful of how well I'm taking care of my body. I could see why it's not for everyone, but for people with brains that work like mine where I need a routine and a schedule, I need to write things down on paper, this is a fantastic investment. ... show more

So the fitness tracker is ok. It only has room for 6 exercises. That’s the biggest issue i have. My other log has room for 12 exercises. It’s not the worst but it’s not the best and it’s not my favorite. Some people might love it. I took pictures of everything in the book so you can have an honest idea of what it entails on the inside. Again-it’s not the worst thing but not my favorite. If you only do 6 strength training moves than you’d probably really like it. 😏 ... show more
