OK, I need to start by saying I've been in the fitness industry for 12 years. In that time period, I have spent thousands of dollars on supplements, mainly due to brilliant marketing like "5lbs of muscle in 6 weeks!". What led me to this product is the ingredients. If you are into fitness, but you aren't proactively considering what you're putting into your body, then you need to re-evaluate what you're doing. With that being said, I anticipated an artificial, super "sucralose-y" taste if you will - like the flavor of some candy you'd find at The Dollar Store. But no, this taste like frozen blueberries and graham crackers. I mean, exactly like it. Not overly sweet, and not bitter. Perfect if you ask me. For taste & flavor it's certainly unmatched in the industry. The quality of the ingredients and the transparency on the label is another MUST have, and another reason why I bought this. While whey is such an easy source of protein, it's also cheap and I believe quality control isn't the best. For this mix, the REAL FOOD, and I put emphasis on that as somebody not trying to load my body with junk, the protein blend of chicken, beef, fish, eggs, and peas works so well. There is no fish taste, no angus NY strip taste, etc. It just doesn't have that protein taste. You're probably wondering about mixability - and you've probably read reviews on both sides. Here is the truth, yes, the protein powder mixes, however, the carbohydrate blend doesn't. BUT this "grit" from the carb blend adds so much character and "oomph" to the taste that I wouldn't actually drink this without the "grit" - and it's not bad, trust me. You don't have to find yourself chewing on oats every time you sip as they are so finely blended, they ALMOST dissolve. 10/10 will buy again - wish they'd add the Strawberry Shortcake flavor. I skip breakfast, take a shaker of this to work every day and make it home for my one "real food" meal each day, dinner. I'm not dropping tons of weight but clothes are fitting better. It helps reg my blood sugar so I don't crash while at work. I'm not bloated while at work. I have plenty of energy, focus and I'm not hungry. That works for me. Wow the MRE meal replacement line is AMAZING. Due to issues with my spleen I had to start eating healthier. I've gone through countless different shakes. Feeling too hungry having to figure out what I need to add to keep my macros balanced. IF YOU TRACK MACROS THIS IS PERFECT. I'm 5'8" 230lb and 2 shakes is almost exactly 2/3 of my daily needs. Drink them over 1-2 hours (morning into snack and lunch into snack). And I'm full most the time. Balanced dinner and coffee around bed and with out in increase in activity I've dropped 50lbs in 6ish months. Pros 1. Tastes amazing. Not just good for a shake. But wow this is really good. 2. Mixes very well. Handheld shaker with ball and no clumps. The vortex rechargeable shaker mini blinder like thingy will mix 4 scoops. Just don't move slow because towards the end it slows(mostly the thicker ones oatmeal chocolate chip and Dutch apple pie. Strawberry shortcake and blueberry cobbler are thinner and blend nicely) 3. The flavors are SPOT on(strawberry shortcake. Apple pie. Blueberry cobbler and oatmeal CC are what I've had) 4. Really about the best price I could find and it's an amazing product. 2 shakes a day M-F and random ones on weekend or if I'm starving before bed and I get about 2 weeks out of it. Lunch $5/day M-F for 2 weeks is $50 covers lunch and bfast and better for me. Win win. Cons kind of. 1. The lid does like it binds and makes me think it's closed for it to drop a foot off the counter or worse the floor then it wastes some. 2. Some get really think with 4 scoops and ice and my little ninja mixer is about 2oz of water shy of what it really needs. Bigger mixer or shaker and that goes away. 3. Doesn't rinse the easiest but use a sponge or bottle brush or you have a few specs of rolled oats that believe the sidewall of the cup is it's proper place. 4. Because the rolled oats there IS texture but far better than most but it's not the gritty texture. Blender with ice will remove most of it. Strawberry shortcake and blueberry cobbler are thinner and had less texture and I just mix with water Favorites 1.blueberry cobbler 2.strawberry shortcake 3.dutch apple pie and oatmeal CC Have YET to try the others. Overall a product that will stay on auto order even once I get to my weight goal for the sheer ease of feeding myself during the workweek. Saving money and time and gas. Redcon thoroughly thank you for this. For someone who needed to do something for health reasons you made keeping my macros balanced so much easier with probably one of if not the best meal replacement shakes ive had. And the variety of flavors help with getting burnt out of the taste. ... show more

MRE is probably the best post workout shake I’ve tried and trust me I have tried a lot.. best part about MRE is it is real food none of that castaway whey garbage. I take it post workout since it has a perfect blend of carbs and protein two very important pieces to building muscle. Downside cost.. but if you want a product made from real food not junk it does cost more. 2nd the flavors are a little weak besides waffles and syrup that one is just gross 3rd 4 scoops! Can’t we just get a bigger scoopers and cut it down to two scoops lol ... show more
