Right out of the box the device worked. I’m not sure how well it helped with hurt muscles, didn’t use it long enough. I do know that the burn from my badly scraped knee was gone after first use. That’s all I can say about how well it works. I used it two or three times on different pains, then charged device overnight. The Device would not turn on at all after taking the charger off. I put charger back on to see if it would turn on and check the battery. Power did come on holding the button down for 3 seconds, but turned off immediately after I “short pressed” the power button again to turn light on. I tried numerous times without success. (No I didn’t hold the power button the second time a long time. It was a short press, just like I had used device when I took it out of box.) I really wanted this laser device to work, I’m very disappointed that it didn’t. I will be returning it tomorrow. 9 APRIL 2021....UPDATE: I switched my one star to 4 stars after usage and UPS picked up the non working device and dropped off a new one at the same time! That was surprisingly fast. The company seems to be very customer oriented, willing to fix problems right away. I have received several emails since from the seller, checking on the status of the new device. I’ve only used it on my bad knee, the one that was scraped up-the abrasion is gone now, I really believe the laser light helped it heal faster than normal. My knee hurts all of the time from swelling and arthritis from ACL tear that was fixed 27 years ago. (needs a replacement). After 20 minutes of the light on my knee, it feels that a lot of the pain has subsided. It will take more than a few times for major relief from the pain, but so far device is doing its job. ... show more

While there is no obvious way to know if this is actually working, I have noticed a difference in how my dog moves and relaxes when using this laser on him. The laser at his vet broke and he was crying every time I took him for treatment anyway, so I decided to purchase one for home. I'm sure it is not the same strength as the veterinary one, but I use it on him 3-4 times a week and he always relaxes and stops squirming around as if in pain when I use it on him. He seems to enjoy it. The charge lasts a very long time and I get several sessions out of it on a full charge. I have used it on myself to see how it felt and there is a very light warmth. I also felt a slight release of the tension in my shoulder after using it. I dropped 1 star simply because it does not come with safety glasses and I had to order those separate. I feel a product that needs safety glasses should come with them. The carrying case is also very nice for this product. I would recommend it as an affordable and much more convenient way to get cold laser therapy. ... show more

De Quervain's tenosynovitis...thats what I used it for. I had a case of a sprained wrist turning into De Quervain's tenosynovitis..which is so painful and debilitating and I had tried everything! It started back in April slowly coming on until one day I couldn't do anything with my right hand. I couldn't bend my wrist in any way, without excruciating pain, my thumb couldn't spread out or have pressure of any type, I bought every type of wrist gadget, thumb gadget, tapes, had x-rays, had acupuncture for weeks (which is my go-to for any pain) , and nothing was working. Even sleeping at night was unrestful. I couldn't clean, pick up groceries, brushing my teeth I had to learn how to do that left handed!. I saw this after reading up on different red light therapy devices and thought I would give it it try. I started off by using a massager on my upper wrist area for about 15 minutes and then the light therapy device after for the whole time (30 mins) twice a day. I also used warm compresses and kept a wrist stabilizer most of the day and especially at night kept it on. I did this for about a week diligently while I watched TV or before I got ready for bed. After a week I realized I no longer had that shooting pain when I would accidently bang my thumb or wrist and after cutting back to using the device to once a day now, my pain is all but gone and I have flexibility in my wrist and thumb. I can even say that I had a few age spots on my hands that i can't even notice anymore, which is an extra plus! I never write reviews, ever, but I had to for this...it took a few weeks but if you're in pain use this device and it will definitely get you back to healing. ... show more

I initially purchased this device when my French bulldog was having spinal pain from a herniated disc which prevented her from weight-bearing on her hind legs. I definitely would see relief in her after using this. Fast forward, she is fine now with no remaining pain. I, on the other hand, had surgery and decided to use this device to try and alleviate some of the scar from forming adhesions, and also to treat the tightness due to increased inflammation in the area. I have to say the area feels completely different after using the device! All the tissues loosen up and increases in mobility. I am so glad I was able to find another use for it. I normally do not scar well, and I must say, the scars are looking flat and healing beautifully. I definitely think this device has played a huge factor. * I do wish I had receive the glasses when I ordered mine though. Would’ve been nice. Aside from that, zero complaints!
