I ordered the red, and the color was off a bit from what is shown on the web site (and my monitor is color calibrated for graphics arts work). They are actually a bit darker, more of a wine color. And while I would have liked to have had the bright red, the color I got is quite nice, I like it. More importantly, they are indeed "ultra soft". Similar to the 'sheep skin' covering on many dog beds - but for humans! They are this way on both sides, unlike some other cheap "soft" pillow cases I've ordered. Ok first measure your pillow Lol this was actually too long for my body pillow. But its super soft and gives a whole new look to my pillow. Very easy to slip on. I just tucked excess material. I wish zipper was a little sturdier but it works fine. Within 6 months of use and regular washing in cold water, the softness is gone, and what remains is a dull-looking, bumpy, somewhat coarse fabric. I was looking for shams to go with a sherpa blanket I bought at a store with a “T” which only offered the blanket. These are as close to perfect as I will get without buying another blanket and sewing something myself (would never get done). The photo shows the shams on top and the blanket below. The material is delightfully soft and the zipper runs the entire length of the case making it easy to put it on.
