I was extreamly surprised by the quality of this polisher. The pads that came in the kit are good material. The only down fall to this polisher is the digital read out and speeds. There are only six speeds and digital readout changes in increments of 4 starting at 10.

The spindle lock button is not engaging so the backing pad can be attached fully.

I'm glad I picked up this Rotary Buffer/Polisher when I did! I just took a medium sized piece of granite from the edge of my countertop and was really upset about it. I was able to fix it with some filler to the point where you can't feel where it was damaged and that's great. The only thing wrong is that you can see the repair when the light hits it at the right angle. I was able to use this buffer to buff out the area where I repaired and it's pretty much unnoticeable and the granite has that glass-like shine to it! The tool is simple to use, its a similar form & fit as a my grinder, just a little heavier since the unit is a bit bigger. The buffer is supplied with different polishing pads which have different levels of softness, as well as a sanding disc and a couple of motor brushes for replacement. Using the buffer takes time and patience, but in the end, my projects have looked great! The unit has variable speed adjustment for fine-tuning your buffing and polishing. It works great when polishing my car and I'm glad to have picked this up! ... show more

Good starter tool for the money. Includes some basic attachments, but I recommend using your own pads. Only used a couple times, so I can't comment on longevity, but so far so good.
