My Jeep CJ-7 doesn’t really have much in the way of interior lighting, and I got tired of using my phone’s flashlight to see inside the cab at night. That led me to finding this product, and I’m not disappointed! At first, I was skeptical that something so small could produce enough light for what I needed, and that the straps would be too short for my padded roll bar. But after I put batteries in (3 AAAs, not included), installed it, and turned it on, my skepticism was put to rest. One of these in the middle of the roll bar between the front seats is enough to adequately light the cab, front and back. I’d imagine more than one of these would make the interior look like daytime! Sturdy straps and light fixture, easy enough to replace the batteries if you have a small flathead screwdriver to pop the cover off, the straps are a good length, and the velcro is plenty strong enough. Great product if you need some more light in a vehicle with a spot to mount it! ... show more

Great little light! I may buy a second one for a little extra light on my boat. But one works fine. It rained once and water got in it but it still worked and eventually dried itself out. My only complaint is the way the Velcro straps works. You need a fairly wide pole for the length to work properly. I had to wrap it around twice then twist the Velcro around to to touch the other side properly. But not a big deal. Like I said, I’ll probably buy a second one. ... show more

    • Light works great! It's a little cheap looking out of the box, but looks and fits in nicely in the Jeep.
When I first opened the package, I felt that the light was a little cheaper-looking than I was expecting. It's just a rectangular plastic LED light and some nylon webbing and velcro straps. However, it looks much better mounted in the Jeep than it does just sitting there out of the box. It's hardly noticeable actually, and tucks up and out of the way nicely. The light works really well, it's bright and the velcro straps fit around the roll bar above the driver's door in my 2014 Wrangler perfectly. The webbing/velcro straps around the roll bar sturdily, but the light itself is still easily removable. There are tabs on either side of the light, one end slides into a slit in the webbing, and the other gets held in by a small piece of velcro making a flap. It actually works really well, I use it all the time as a flashlight, and am able to reach in and remove/replace it in the dark without issue. There's a toggle switch on one of the long ends of the light, so just be aware of which direction it's replaced to make sure the switch is facing downwards where it can be accessed, instead of pointing up into the roll bar. ... show more

These are Fantastic! At first I didn't think they would be bright enough - especially at the distance I would be mounting them. Turns out they are very bright, and mounted easily and securely with the included velcro straps. The Magnets were a nice thought, but are completely useless are they are very weak. I mounted 4 of these in my 2017 Teryx4 - one above each seat. I use rechargeable batteries, and mounted them so the battery compartment faces outward for easy changing when time to recharge, ... show more

Lights up the interior of my '88 Wrangler fairly well. A positive is that you can easily detatch and reattach this light if you need to. The bad...and I'm not sure what causes this, is that I sometimes have to tap on the light for it to reach a high level of brightness--which can be annoying. UPDATE: You may want to buy a better light. This works well; however, the backplate on this light does not hold the batteries securely enought. Don't get me wrong, the batteries have never fallen out of the light; however, the backplate seems to be crucial in keeping the light lit. When I press on this plate, the light becomes very bright. Since the plate bows out a little, the light has a tendency to flicker or become dim. The majority of the time, this light does what it was intended to do, but the flickering and dimness aren't very desireable. ... show more

    • A great light for inside the Jeep
This is a really bright LED light. I actually ordered ASIN: B00CXJR1CQ the Dc/dc Converter 12v Step Down to 3.7v 3a Power Supply Module and wired it directly into my door switch so now I don't have to replace and AAA batteries in this light, and it comes on any time the door is open. Makes my wife feel much safer driving my 98 jeep (with no top) to have an overhead dome light come on before she gets in. It was pretty easy install and I am sure they sell something else for more money that will work, but this is easy with a few steps 1) power converter wired to light socket under driver dash 2) power converter output wire connected and run up through the roll bar 3) wire from roll bar (yes I drilled a tiny hole to pull the wire through) attached to light positive and negative metal tabs inside battery compartment 4) closed up battery cover, strapped in place, and done. the whole thing was less than $15 for a really nice, door controlled, overhead dome light ... show more

Bought this for my man's RZR as a gift and hoped it wouldn't be "cheesy" as he likes only quality stuff. And it was a hit! He loved it and it mounted nicely on our RZR bar and it gives out a bright light to read maps or see what you are doing in the dark. It looks great and mounted easily and securely.     • Great addition to jeep Part of velcro leaves a bit to be desired
UPDATED 2/27/2021 The velcro that holds the light in place on the strap (not the part that goes around the roll bar) isnt the best. Ifs already not holding well and I've taken the light off the strap once since my purchase in 2020. ************** With having an after market roll bar system in the jeep it was frustrating to not have a light inside to be able to see things in the dark.
