    • I put my 9hp motor on it and it tips over
Price was way too high for the quality of the product. Most importantly I needed to put a sand bag under a leg to keep it from falling over. Not a fan- will likely return it.

    • product is as advertised; easy to assemble and works well
bought this motor stand for my 4hp tohatsu long-shaft outboard motor used on our sailboat. Needed a way to easily mount and work, clean and otherwise maintain the engine. The motor is about 55 lbs, so this 100 lb capacity motor mount is ideal. Only thing I might suggest is to provide wing nuts to use when assembling the cross supports; why? I don't have lots of room in my garage, so to make it easier to dis-assemble so I can hang the motor mount on my garage wall, a wing nut would make it a bit easier. ... show more

This OB stand was exactly what I needed for my 10 HP OB. It is light enough to manuver and assemble easily. For the $59+ it is exactly what I was looking for. I would not however myself, put anthing larger than a 10 horse on it. While it may hold a 15 I would get something sturdier for that size. You also need to be careful which side you mount the motor on. The wrong side makes it top heavy and would tip easily. Put it on the other side and it is as sturdy as you need.     • Sturdy an versatile
Great product, sturdy and versatile, it allows me to keep the 6 hp short shaft motor for my tender stored in the back of my boat and/or the swimming platform without taking a lot of room. I wish it came with wing nuts so I can stow it away when not in use.

I bought this for my 15hp Yamaha 2 stroke which weighs about 75 pounds. Easily handles the weight. I like that it doesn't take up the space of one with wheels. Very easy to assemble in 5 minutes. Just a matter of tightening a few nuts and bolts.
