    • A pain to build by yourself but that’s the only con!

So I don’t recommend you build this by yourself because you will break something even if your careful. Dowel rods are not to be messed with I’m just glad they come with extras… Other than that It took me about two hours to build (I built the legs one night and the next day put it all together) I needed my boyfriend to hold some parts for me as I screwed them in because I just did not have the space to build the whole thing table down. So make sure you have the space because I surely did not. The pieces were slightly (and I mean slightly, like a small spot here and there that I can not see currently) damaged, paint wise, but they were minuscule and I have a cover anyways. I was also expecting a little imperfections thanks to reviews and was pleasantly surprised to find almost none. THAT BEING SAID BE CAREFUL AS YOU BUILD IT. one imperfection I made myself while building it. So please be careful. The instructions were easy to follow and had pictures of everything. Desk review. Now I do not work from home though I’m trying to change that. Unfortunately I can not say how it feels to be focused on working on something while using this, but I do play games on my computer for long hours of time and I can say that this has helped my back significantly. Usually I would be slouched over because my desk or screen were too low. So now if I see myself slouching (it will happen regardless of where my screen is after a few hours) instead of just sitting back up right I decided to stand for a while. I’m not used to standing while playing games so it’s been some getting used too, and I can only do it for a few minutes before I find myself wanting to sit back down, but I enjoy the relief I get on my back. The motor of the desk is relatively quite. It’s not silent but it’s not loud either. It doesn’t scare my cats but it’s enough to wake them up (they sleep under there) In some reviews I noticed a lot of people said it wobbles. I do not have this problem. I don’t know if it’s because I screwed the circle pads on the feet all the way in or not or the fact I have it on carpet, but I did not witness any wobble. At least not when I’m leaning on it, or doing anything on it. (I do smack my desk sometimes out of anger but I still don’t notice a wobble if that helps) Even on the highest setting (I’m tall) I don’t notice a wobble. I read that some people have a problem with the seem in the middle. I have a desk pad that covers most of the middle on my desk so I can not tell you if it’s bad or not but I did notice that I could see light through it while I was putting it together. But do not take my word for it I haven’t seen it since then… I have a single mount with two monitors on it. The mount clamps nicely. I also have my whole computer tower on one side. I have not noticed even the tinniest warning that I’m outweighing that side so it’s pretty sturdy. All in all it’s still currently a great desk and I don’t see my desk changing for years to come. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. It was a pretty easy put together process. I do really enjoy the desk. I had quite a hard time getting it to work initially though. Once it was all put together and set up / plugged in, I wanted to test it. I hit up, and it creeped up (maybe half an inch) and stopped. When I hit the down button, it did not move and gave an error code “E05.” So I read the instructions and held the up and down button at the same time to reset it. When it reset, it went all the way down, then went all the way up until it gave me a different error code. I had gotten a free replacement and used the desk in the mean time. Would bring it up and when I needed it to go down I would reset it and then unplug it till I wanted it to go back up (bc it kept going up and down each time I reset it.) so I got the replacement and was going to change just the control panel, so I do just that. Same e05 error. I changed everything that would control it going up and down. Nothing. I was extremely frustrated. So I put all of the original plugs back together, I plugged it back in to reset. I decided I was going to let it do it’s thing and then BAM it worked. Went up and down. No error. No stopping every half inch. Works perfectly fine. I would give it a 5 star because now that it works I love it but since it gave me such a hard time I’m going to settle for 4 stars.     • An absolute game changer at a great value

When I initially decided to buy a standing desk, I was expecting to spend several hundred dollars more than $225 based on my previous experiences. I took a chance on this desk and I couldn't be happier with it. As a software developer, the ability to work while either standing or sitting has done wonders for my productivity and overall health. Assembly: Directions were great. It was easy enough to assemble for the average joe, but I did have a issue with getting the sync rod installed. I had to yank on the left leg a bit to get it into the exact same position as the right leg. Due to the gearing of the raising/lowering mechanism, I had to be within millimeters to get everything to slide into place. A little tough, but be patient, take a deep breath and apply elbow grease. Quality: I initially found the desk to have a ever-so-slight wobble compared to the expensive standing desk at my old corporate job, but I never notice it now that the desk has weight on it. I think the wood-grain finish is absolutely beautiful. My only critique would be that the motor is a little loud and grainy compared to higher end desks, but it does the job. ... show more

Expectations were somewhat low going in but this thing delivers. There are a couple of things to pay attention to when it comes to assembly (as seen in some of the other reviews that clearly were assembled wrong) but they are generally well pointed out in the instructions. It is super solid, super smooth and quiet going up and down and looks pretty good. The two cons are 1. it's made out of sections and the veneer pattern does not match between them (only applies to the wood pattern color) and 2. it gives an error if going too low on it but very easy to fix with the reset buttons (without losing memory settings). It also really benefits from running a furniture repair marker (or black sharpie for the black color) along the edges of each section where the top veneer meets the side part since it has some white gaps that are a bit unsightly. ... show more
