My brother surprised me this Christmas with a Logitech G29 steering wheel with optional shifter. I mounted it to a TV stand out of the box but quickly realized that just wasn't going to work. I looked at many racing simulator cockpits but this one in particular stood out. I have a very tight space so needed something that would fold up when not in use but also wanted something that would be more than just a lawn chair with a steering mount and not break the bank. I have spent a good 18 hours in this simulator and I couldn't be happier with it. I am 6 foot and the seat fits me very comfortably and the pedal mount adjustments are plenty long enough for accurate leg room. Another nice feature is that the steering wheel and gear shift mount hinge to one side when getting in and out of the chair so no special tricks for getting in and out of the chair. There is also a stabilizer foot so when the steering will is hinged up, the chair doesn't tilt over, (it feels very stable with this steering wheel in the hinged up position). Another thing I really like about this setup is where the actual shifter mounts, a lot of the simulatora have the gearshift right by the steering wheel but this one mounts it a bit lower for more of a natural feeling of having it in the center console. This bracket can also be mounted on left or right to simulate right hand drive cars if desired. The only thing I did run into that you will want to watch for is during the assembly, the bolts that hold the ratcheting supports are longer than the diameter of the tube frame so you will just want to lightly snug these up with the provided allen wrench to prevent frame damage, (believe this is where some people have had troubles by forcing it tightly against the frame and weakening tube frame). I put a little medium thread lock on these bolts to prevent them from backing out. Overall, I am very pleased with this simulator, it's honestly nicer than I was expecting. I really like this chair, it’s sturdy and comfortable, durable and well made but, it does have its flaws. 1. On the side of the chair are the swivel joints for folding up the chair, these stick out just enough that if you enter the chair just a little to the left or right they are going to bite you in the but. 2. In order to lock yourself into the chair the chair has a plastic sleeve that when rotated covers a metal bolt on the metal frame of the chair. This is really a single point of failure for the chair, each time you rotate the plastic sleeve you scrape a little more from the plastic away, soon that plastic is no longer going to work. Why they thought this was a good idea is beyond me, it would have been just as easy to make that plastic sleeve out of metal to! 3. This one is for the older audience; the chair is only 11 inches, 0.2794 cm from the floor, once in the chair it will be hard to get back out! At first I just opened the chair and rolled out on to the floor and then stood up once there. Lol I have since learned the technique for exiting the chair. 4. The metal platform that is intended to hold your shifting lever could be a bit stronger, slamming in and out of gears causes the part to bend toward the floor each time, so a some point you are going to need to bend it back up to level. The bending will stress the metal and one day it will simply break. Over all I would recommend this chair to any players of driving games. I liked this seat because of the portable design and the seat design. I feel like any nicer seat or thicker frame and I'm just going to get a roller. I couldn't do a freestanding wheel and pedal setup so this is more solid and would lift on you unless you really abuse it. Fabric is nice but you can tell it won't stand the test of time. I've been gaming in it for a couple months and it is starting to show wear. Nothing major, I'd just like it to remain looking new if I could. The adjustments are pretty limited so be prepared to be surprised in a bad way there. I'd give this chair an 8 out of 10. Looking forward to my next setup for sure. ... show more

Just finished putting it together. Packaged very well. Easy assembly. Feels pretty sturdy. I'm entry level and not at all looking for much more than this setup. My wife and I will have some fun testing this out I'm sure. Just wanted something other than than the ps4 controller and the couch. This collapses for easy storage out of the way. ... show more

This does not support a high end set up I'm not always using my racing wheel and wanted something that would be compact so I can easily put it up against the wall when I'm done, but there are so many flaws with this one and cut so many coners. The shifter placement is only held on by 2 screws making it useless for shifting the whole thing shakes and bends and I'm sure if I actually got to using it it would break off The steering wheel placement is awful too you can't lower it or adjust it, the only adjustment is on its axis no up or down just tilting making it even more uncomfortable and even so with a proper rig it sags and I'm sure with use it will break the little fins holding it down Do not recommend even if you use PS4 / Xbox type of steering wheel Highly do not recommend using thrust master or moza etc it will break on you over time ... show more
