  • This looks like the perfect product . . . but . . .
The media could not be loaded. . . . I honestly have no idea how this thing is intended to be used. It is supposed to operate as an iPad holder, and a clipboard, and also hold 7-ring binder inserts for airport info, etc. Major problems/Discoveries are as follows. 1) If you put anything in it, it can't close. Kinda defeats the purpose if you can't close this thing. You would literally have to remove your iPad every time you stowed it. Which seems pretty stupid to me. You notepad and binder sheets just flap around and get messed up. World's least convenient kneeboard. 2) You can't really use it to hold both an iPad and a 4x8 notepad. It seems like the notepad is supposed to go behind iPad, except when they are both in there, the paper and clipboard have no place to live. It's this was designed by an AI that learned everything it knows about kneeboards by looking at features of kneeboards, and jumbled them all together, but doesn't understand that a kneeboard should actually close, and that we don't want to take everything out of it and put it back in for every flight. 3) They have 7 ring binder grommets for page holders where you can print airport info, or whatever checklists or notes you want to keep handy. But again, because it can't close, those will get quickly destroyed 4) There are like three times as many velcro straps as you seem to need. There is a clear plastic strap that goes across the iPad, which already has a velcro closure, thjat just gets in the way. And another velcro tab at the bottom which doesn't seem to be there for any particular purpose. This might have been a good product, if it had been executed correctly, but instead it looks like it was designed by somebody who has never flown a plane, or has no idea how things are actually supposed to fit, but just crammed in a bunch of features. I posted a video review so people could see what I am talking about. Maybe I am missing something here. but I can't seem to figure out a way to make this thing remotely workable, without reducing it to just a kne iPad holder, and eliminating the binder rings and clipboard entirely. ... show more

  • Perfect
New pilot and needed something to hold my tablet while flying and charting. It works.

  • Perfect Fit for iPad Mini 6
Pencil holder, leather cover, iPad holding hooks were all good. But just one thing, it's very hard to see metal plate holder while using the kneeboard. You have to take it out completely to use it.

  • Poor product quality - updated, vendor replaced product.
The stitching of the strap on the kneeboard came loose after 6 weeks of very light use (2 flights). Apparently I'll need to learn how to sew this back together as past 4 weeks it's not eligible for return and doesn't have product support thru Amazon. I have a larger one of these for my i-pad pro and it has held up fine. Updated - I contacted the vendor thru Amazon and they shipped a replacement to me. ... show more

  • Great product but if you live in a hot climate read this
I live in California and so we have hot summers. I bought this as I am currently attending flight school and was recommended I purchase this to assist with flight planning etc.. Product arrived, I was excited, and then came the day I could finally use it -- awesome. We prepped the aircraft, got in, and began rolling through our taxi to the runway. As I'm making my final preparations for taking off, I notice the iPad says its too hot... Yep - this product fits the iPad perfectly; some would say a little too perfectly. As it is dark in color and features little to no ventilation, this can't be used in areas which get about 90. If you live anywhere else, happy flying. ... show more

  • Like the kneeboard but…
The Velcro fabric on the longer strap was sewn on the wrong side. I removed it and sewed it back on the correct side of the strap. I was able to install my iPad with a thin iPad cover. Nice kneeboard overall, but would like better quality control for assembly.

  • Awkward to use as writing surface AND an iPad holder
Not practical to use as a writing surface AND an iPad mini holder: The iPad holder can only pivot back toward your body - extremely awkward to use to write down freqs, clearances, etc. It'd be OK as a writing knee board OR an iPad holder, but falls short of doing both. Silly they didn't design the iPad holder to pivot left/right. Someone on the design team hasn't been in a pilot's seat. I jury-rigged the cilpboard to clip behind the iPad screen cover, to provide a firm writing surface but I'm not thrilled with having the metallic surface against the iPad screen. I'll use it until the stitching fails, which shouldn't be long. ... show more

  • It’ll work
Great service getting this. Prompt delivery no problems that way. A little disappointed overall. I’m a big guy and I can’t strap this around my leg. I can use the included strap but it’s more made to use with the clip board alone and not with the iPad holder. So I’m still figuring how to attach the strap with the iPad and not have it come loose. No pictures or suggested ways to use anything included. I’ll figure it out and be happy. ... show more
