This is a basic clipboard with an elastic Velcro strap. It is on the small side (5" x 8"), but that's what I was looking for because I am 5' 4" (short legs) female. I have had a hard time finding a kneeboard that is small enough that I don't knock the yoke into it with full aft elevator (flying 150's, C23). Aluminum is solid enough, and I did not feel any sharp edges. I can see how the pen clip might break, but it can be taken off. Tie a pen to the board with a string if it does. ... show more

I like it because it fits my leg better than the larger boards and it doesn't have all the fabric bits that get stuck between my knee and my throttle. As a student pilot, it's been handy to have.
