I had SO much fun doing these with my kids! After we started we realized that there are actually many different shapes of hearts in this kit. We all started with the same ones because that’s what was on top of the heart, but some are more curvy and asymmetrical, which is very fun! The paints are pretty easy to squeeze, it’s a lot like coloring, but I don’t think toddlers would be able to handle it. Getting the paint into the small areas between the lines takes a steady hand. My 5 year old could do it, but I didn’t try with my 4 year old because she gets easily frustrated and I didn’t want paint squeezing out everywhere. I just made her one while she napped and she was satisfied. My 7, 8, & 10 year olds loved doing these and they each did several! I had fun doing this craft with them myself, it’s very satisfying! The colors are fun, there’s actually quite a variety! There are two shades of pink, two shades of blue, two shades of purple, a red, and a white! They all look good but the lighter colors are more opaque and catch the sun better. The darker ones don’t completely block it , however, they are just very vibrant in the sun. We found that the trick is to fill the areas with paint completely and evenly but not overfill them. My younger kids did fill them a bit too much and it flowed over the black lines. They all still dried just fine though. The beads and wires to hang them in the hooks add some extra fun flare. I definitely recommend this fun project either with friends or with your kids/ nieces/nephews etc. we thoroughly enjoyed making these beautiful Sun catchers and they make wonderful gifts!!! Also, the beads add a really nice touch of elegance, but I found the wire to be a little tricky. I tried some that way, and eventually ended up using fishing line that I had with my beading stuff already. The wire is extremely thin and you have to kind of finagle it to make a makeshift loop that you can actually hang it on. It was easier to use the fishing line. You can just skip the beads altogether and hang these sun catchers right on the suction cup hooks that come with the set, they look fine that way too! Either way, I still think it’s a great set and highly recommend!!! Lastly, my 4 year old did actually do a few of these a few days later. It took a little explaining for her to get the hang of it but then she did great and honestly it’s awesome for those fine motor skills! She just needed to understand that you have to hold the paints upside down so the paint goes into the nozzle in order to come out easily. ... show more

Qyeahkj 32 Sets Valentine's Day Suncatcher Crafts Kit for Kids DIY Heart Window Paint Suncatchers surprised me ! I saw them and was interested in them because they were a little more than "just hearts". What I didn't expect was that our family of four would ALL be gathered around the table painting them. I opened the box to find the suncatchers and individual paint containers. One of our daughters immediately sat down to investigate. As we unpacked the box, our other daughter came into the room and started looking at the supplies. By the time I had taken out the contents of the box: suncatchers, paint tubes, beads and string, both girls were eagerly preparing to paint. Did I mention that our daughters are in their early 20s ? I am not saying this is sure to captivate the attention of everyone, but it definitely feels like a winter miracle that our girls were actually excited to do a craft. Later, I decided to paint one. My older daughter joined me first, then my husband and finally our youngest. It was so oddly fun to paint hearts around the same table. It is a memory that I think we will all keep. The kit has everything you could want for painting suncatchers. It arrived quickly, well packaged and without issue. Our family will be looking for more craft kits like this in the future.
