QN Strong sheets are strong when wet. Not a fan of their comparatively narrower sheets, but I appreciate that it is low lint paper with zero scent. QN Strong is my new brand! I was a Charmin Strong devotee, but a quality slide is closing the gap. I still marginally prefer it, but not at the premium price point. For the unaware: square footage is one measure of paper quantity that a manufacturer cannot manipulate. Numbers don’t lie. It can’t be made to look greater/lesser, it is what it is. The marketing basis for roll, and sheet, and package size manipulation is to get more of your dollars for less of their product. This is 1 reason why a roll of x, and a roll of y (same sheet count) don’t last the same amount of time. They appear to be equivalent based on package wording, but one holds less paper. Manufacturers re-name roll sizes, and re-configure sheet, and package sizes to confuse the consumer, and create greater access to their wallet. If shopper A pays $6. more per month for the same square footage as shopper B; shopper A gets nothing for that extra $72 per year. Estimating that an adult buys personal paper for 50 years ($72.00 x50 years) …. I can think of a lot better things to do w/ $3,600.00! Savvy shopping is always rewarded.. ... show more

I used to buy only Charmin because there's a few things I've never been willing to go with another brand no matter how much money I could save and toilet paper was at the top of that list. Little by little I'm breaking that habit and this is one thing I gotta say I wish I'd tried years ago. I actually think this toilet paper is better than Charmin. I'm impressed with how thick, durable, soft and long lasting it is. I hate generic toilet paper that is so thin you need an industrial size roll just to take care of a number 1 let alone find yourself alone in some friends bathroom with wondering how on earth you're going to take care of a number 2 without everyone knowing when you either block the toilet because you used an entire roll or because it took you an hour and a half to unroll all the toilet paper you needed. That may sound ridiculous to some people but if that's the case you're likely the friend with the generic toilet paper that people dread seeing. If so the fact you're even reading this says you question the fact that you get gifts wrapped in tissue paper that's thicker than your toilet paper and the fact that so many of those gifts were small brown cardboard tubes says it all. This stuff is actually the beginning of my personal journey to find an acceptable balance between price and performance so I can't say for sure that this is the cheapest but it is cheaper than what I'd used before. As for its quality, I find it to be excellent. I recently had the pleasure of introducing my bathroom to Quilted Northern Ultra Soft and Strong toilet paper, and boy, oh boy, what a ride it has been! Let me tell you, this lovable roll of fluff is like a superhero when it comes to tackling sticky messes. It's as if it has a secret power to make sticky situations disappear faster than Houdini on roller skates! You see, I've tested this toilet paper in the most challenging scenarios. From greasy sludge to chocolate milk-dripping mishaps, it fearlessly took on the stickiness, leaving no trace behind. It's like having a mini-maid at your fingertips—wipe, and voila! Sticky no more! I almost feel sorry for the sticky messes; they never stood a chance against this TP powerhouse! With this TP, you can also forget about getting “lucky.” It’s so strong, your fingers are not busting through. Now, I must mention the special feature that makes this toilet paper the perfect companion for my septic system. Living on a septic tank means I have to be cautious about what goes down the pipes. Two and a half years after the pandemic started, it can still be difficult to find certain brands of paper products, like toilet paper, in the stores. We like Northern. It’s not too plush but not too thin. I was able to purchase it at a good price here on Amazon. The only concern I have is that this toilet paper does not break down as well as some of the thin, cheap toilet papers. That means although it leaves your bum happy (assuming a bum can be happy), it can be harder on your plumbing and septic system. ... show more
