  • Very Nice
While I didn't personally care for the keycap profile (I switched them for MOA keycaps), they are very ergonomic! The keyboard is easy to set up and works like a dream, and the brown switches are really nice considering they are stock. I really enjoy the sound as well. For the price it's very nice, and even if I wasn't considering price, it's a very nice keyboard that I use daily for work, school, and gaming. ... show more

  • Best budget board your 40$ can buy!
Color: Blue Switch White Silver Color
I'm in love! I've been trying to find an entry-level mechanical keyboard for a while now. Now that I've spent a bit of time with this keyboard, I can give my full thoughts. Keep in mind, I am not a gamer by any stretch of the imagination. That being said, I type. A LOT. When I first started researching mechanical keyboards, I thought, "If I'm going to type, might as well enjoy it." SWITCH IMPRESSIONS: I've tested a few "blue" style switches. While the Outemu Blue switches aren't exactly perfect, I actually like them better than the Cherry MX Blue's! They're tactile, springy, and have an absolutely infectious feel and sound! I only have one complaint: the spacebar is a bit mushy. Mushy enough that when reaching for the spacebar, the feeling is jarring. It makes the keyboard feel inconsistent. BOARD IMPRESSIONS: No flex! Tasteful board color! Adjustable feet! Intelligently routed cable! A lot of creature comforts are packed in this ~40$ keyboard. Although this model does not have backlighting, caps lock has a nice green LED to indicate that it is toggled. The layout is personally perfect for me. Arrow keys / Delete / etc. are crucial for me. KEYCAP IMPRESSIONS: Nice, albeit a little bit cheap feeling keycaps. At least the font is tasteful. The great thing about this keyboard though, is that it is compatible with Cherry MX keycaps, so it's extremely easy to customize this board! Okay, at this point I'm writing just to spend time with this awesome keyboard. Kudos to Qisan for making a great budget board! If this is what an entry-level board has to offer, I can't wait to get my hands on more expensive boards! ... show more

  • Good Mechanical Keyboard for the Price
Color: Brown Switch with Black & Grey Combo...
Keyboard is easy to use and has a better button layout than most other 60% keyboards. Build quality is good, doesn't feel cheap and caps don't scratch easily. Compact size overall is great and comfy. Uses 2x AAA batteries. Modes are easy to setup and switch between. Comes with a key cap pulling tool and keys are very easy to remove. Cons: - No wired mode. - On the black model, secondary functions are very hard to read on some keys. Recommend the white model because of this. - Keys are loud regardless of switch choice. Recommend also buying dampening rings. - Keys do have a large travel distance. Not necessarily a con for some people, but worth mentioning. - No RGB, which does come in handy in dark office settings. ... show more

  • Entry level mechanical keyboard at a budget price.
Color: Blue Switch White Silver Color
Overall the build quality is excellent for what you pay. I had a slight problem at the beginning with a wobble on the left side. I just a put a bit of electrical tape over the left foot to eliminate this annoyance. Compared to Cherry MX switches these Outemu switches seem to have a higher accusation point. On the Cherry MX switches the accusation point is just before I hit the bottom. On the Outemu switches, the accusation point is half-way down, and the length of the key press to the bottom of the keyboard is about 25% shorter. I have also noticed the click feeling at the accusation point has more resistance and the sound of each key press is a higher pitched click. I didn't think the sound would bother me much since I have used blue switches for years, but the sound is so much louder by comparison and sort of plastic-y sounding that it does bother me just a little bit. I would definitely recommend this item to anyone on a budget, anyone who wants a spare keyboard, and anyone interested in trying mechanical switches for the first time. You can get a little better overall quality and many more features with the more expensive name brand keyboard, but sadly you have to pay 3 to 4 times as much money. Update: July 1st, 2016 Ok, so I bought this keyboard in March and have used it for a while now. I have switched a few of the keycaps out and installed rubber o-rings to give it a more customized look and feel. Since installing the o-rings the sound no longer bothers me. They say blue switches are not the best for gaming but it seems to work fine for me. Though you may want to look at Brown switches if you want a keyboard that is typically good for typing and gaming. Update: July 6th, 2018 Recently I have started having problems with some of the keys not registering, specifically the (f) and (k) keys. I don't know why this happens, but they stop working for a short time and then start work again. I would estimate that I have typed probably 500,000 - 750,000 words on this keyboard in those two years time, so it's possible I just need a new keyboard. Update: February 28, 2019 This keyboard is kaput. Over the years I have had a number of sticky spills and have submerged this keyboard in water nearly half a dozen times in an effort to clean it off. Most recently I experimented using a blow dryer to expedite the drying time so it could quickly be used again. I managed to inadvertently melt the bottom row of keycaps and here I am typing this review up with a rusted and melted keyboard. The (I, O, J, K, F) and a few other keys take more pressure or repeated presses to register the keystroke but it still works. So if you want a keyboard to last you a few years, get this. If you want a keyboard to last you a lifetime, then buy a keyboard with hot-swappable Cherry MX switches and a full set of additional switches. The difference is one costs $40.00 and the other costs about $300.00 - $600.00. ... show more
