I bought these pants for an upcoming trip to Cabo around mid-May, for wearing around town and on the plane. However, I'm pretty sure I'm going to wear these allllll summer, they are just so cute and comfy! I'm 5'5 and currently around 150lbs with a booty- bought a Large since the Mediums were out of stock, and I believe either size would work, as the waist is quite stretchy. The fabric is really soft and lightweight; it is fairly loose and kind of hides my curvy butt and thighs. I like how the stripes/patterns of the elephant pattern are aligned properly on both legs (so many cheaper brands don't bother with this). I will say, as another reviewer mentioned, the waist is VERY high. This works for me as I have a long torso, but probably would go up to the boobs on someone with a short torso! The legs are NOT that long- again, this works for me, but may not for a taller/longer-legged person. I know everyone likes pictures but maybe later lol…I will give some important info tho: I’m 5”3 and about 135 pounds & got a small. I have gained weight over the last couple years & never sure if I should get a small or a medium. I think with my size I could have gone either way on these. I did choose small because my worry was the waste might be a little too large so since these are a stretchy waist I decided on small. They fit perfect. However I am short & they are just the right length. They go right to my ankles and u can’t really pull them down or the crotch won’t look right, & they ARE very high waisted. If I was any taller not sure I would be happy with these. All in all tho very cute & comfy & I may get another pair! One more thing I wish I could have found before I ordered them: they DO defintely have a gathered ankle. On the style I got (black peacock) I couldn’t tell for sure in the pictures. I would prefer they didn’t & just had the bottoms of regular pants so they went over my sandals for that look & less of a sweatpants bottomed look- but oh well I still like them. ... show more

I bought these because I work in the back of a thrift store processing stuff, and it gets HOT. I needed something breathable, yet nice. I am also built like an apple, so I needed something forgiving in the mid section. For reference I am 5'1", and 200+lbs. The elastic band on these is nice and thick (about 6") and very forgiving, not tight at all. The fabric is cool to the touch, and thin enough to breath but not to see what religion I am. I.E. You can't see underwear lines. The elastic at the ankles isn't tight, but its just right to pull the fabric in for a cute look. They arrived super fast and I am SO happy with them! ... show more

The fabric tag says polyester but pants feel like soft, thin cotton with slight stretch. The smocking at the waist make them expandable and if Id had them when pregnant I would have lived in them. I wash on cool and used to hang dry but throw them in the drier on low. No shrinkage. Pockets on either side are large enough for smart phone, keys, wallet. (Place phone touch screen away from your leg unless you're making butt dials!! My phone has called 911, yikes!) The fit is generous as it ought to be with harem pants. I love these! I'm a baggy pants, harem pants, elephant pants lover and I was super excited to try these. But let me tell you, if you have any type of tummy, these will not be flattering on you. The elastic at the top has no tummy control, which I knew, but because the elastic is so wide is just hugs your belly instead of draping in a flattering way like other harem pants do. Really happy with this purchase! I am usually a size 10-12 in pants and either M or L. I got these in Large and they fit perfectly. The legs are not too poofy, the fabric is very soft, and the elastic around the ankles is nice and loose. The blue print is beautiful too.
