I use to heat butter, syrup, etc. in the microwave. I've boiled water in it with no issues. The measurements are bright and clear making measurements easily seen and precise. Microwave safe on high heat. Durable.

These 2 measuring cups are very nice. Thick glass, very easy to read the measurements on the side of the cup but they’re not too heavy to handle! They make a wonderful gift for newly weds.

These are weighty and have a good size. I am not sure what I expected but the measuring cups appear rather large. I am able to stack them which helps to conserve space. I dare not test the theory but these cups are pretty sturdy and can take a few bumps. I don’t expect them to crack like my last ones. The lines are very discernible and can be used by children. I really enjoy the flexibility to put in the microwave or the dishwasher. I have yet to freeze anything in them but the option is there which is a plus. I use the Purex brand often for baking pans and storage items. These hold true to the quality I am accustomed to. ... show more

    • These are heavy-duty
My original Pyrex measuring cups, over 40 years old, finally wore out. The markings on the the glass had worn off and were not readable. So, I ordered this set. First I noticed that the glass was thicker than my old measuring cups. The painted on measurements are very thick.
