  • They work as described!!
I had purchased other lights from another outfit that I wish that I could name. Their lights looked as if they were built by an uninterested high school student as a Radio Shack project. The high beams didn't work, there was an intermittent short in the wiring, shrink tubing wasn't 'shrunk' completely, one of the three-prong connections wouldn't slide 'home', one connection simply wouldn't remain 'coupled', and one of the harnesses actually smoked when the lights were turned on. They were absolute junk. Upon opening the box and examining the Putco lights the high quality was apparent - all of the connections looked as if they were installed by professionals. The installation of the lights went as planned - the 4 bolts were removed from the grille, the 5 metal clips that hold the bottom of grille were pushed 'in', the 'mudflap' unclipped on the driver's side, 4 bolts were removed from each headlight. The LED's were installed (without the antiflicker parts). All of the Ford parts were reinstalled and away I went. The high/lo beams work, no smoke, no intermittent shorts, and no flickering, no 'check engine' light. (Years ago I installed LED fog lights on my 2006 Ford Ranger. As soon as the lights came on it would trigger a fault and the 'check engine' light would appear.) ... show more

  • Stock reflector headlights are brighter on a ram 1500
I drive alot at night and need brighter lights for a super dark drive. I replaced my 2016 ram reflector headlights with the put co silver lux in. I made sure the bulbs where clock at 3 & 9 o'clock to be properly aimed in the headlight housing along with adjusting the headlight beam down some. Still couldn't see at all. I ended up returning the leds and putting back in my stock halogen bulbs. Just to note: I bought the h11 and 9005 leds for my lows and highs. 9005 bulbs where unable to be installed due to be broken upon arrival. I contacted putco for the warranty claim they stated warranty doesn't count through Amazon. Jusy for the heads up if your going buy these led's buy them through putco for the 2 year warranty ... show more

  • Things to do before installing.
Size: H4
So far I would give this product a high rating. I compared the new LED lamp to the configuration of the old lamps and they are on the money. Once installed the high and low beams were exactly aimed like the original lamps, much whiter and brighter. On the Tacoma, I would highly recommend working the protective rubber cover over the LED lamp base part way first. The base is larger than a typical bulb but it will work and slides nicely into place once the lamp is clipped into the opening. I installed in a 2012 Tacoma. The biggest challenge was on the passenger side due to the washer fluid tank being so close. It was always a challenge changing regular lamps on this side anyway. I took the tank loose but did not remove it. This gave me another inch or so to work with. After that, with some patience, I was done in about 10 minutes. On the driver side, I slide the battery aside to gain a little more hand room. I was able to fan out the copper cloth cooling bands but it was a bit harder on the passenger side. Using a couple zip ties I strapped the driver to the headlight wiring harness making sure the wires were not stressed. I installed without the anti-flicker component but could easily add it if necessary. Wish there was a way to have known since it did cost little more. ... show more

  • Wouldn’t drive without them!!!!
I drive desolate country roads with lots of wildlife. With these lights I can see 10x further up the road and 50% wider ditch to ditch. I had a set for bright lights, but added these on my low beam for those times when there are other vehicles. Prior to installing these when I would switch between brights and low beam with the stock headlights I felt that all I had on was running lights. There is a large DIFFERENCE between brillian bright white lights and dull yellowish stock lights. ... show more

  • Absolute perfection is unattainable, nice to see a company striving.
Absolute perfection is unattainable. there are three product description /$39.98-good /$69.98-better /$129.98 & up-best. My father's two most important comments to me. IT is expensive to go cheap, When a prepared Man meets opportunity the common Man calls it luck. What young man listens to his father,..."oh God not again",...but now I always do my do diligence. I have purchase three sets of LED headlights for my brand new 2016 Subaru outback 2.5 limited."the better" most people do. I paid $69.98 both times they have last a year and a half the third time now is Putco. Apartment in New York City,A house in Olivebridge, normally Friday late afternoon early evening interstate 87 North is reasonably illuminated. 28 on the other hand it's illumination is sporadic at best. always focus more on the application than the product,???... If most of my driving was in New York City or within 25 miles radius.the previous two sets of headlights would be fine for that application. I have a set of winter tires and summer tires, T to T most men know what that means. because my application requires going up north late at night. My concern is widths of light peripheral, ditch to ditch. DEERS, my Subaru has eyesight the other application is brightness for my stereo cameras not everyone need either one of these application but I do. Always purchase the best you can afford, do your due diligence, keep ours gas tank full, never go beyond a half of tank,!!!!!!!...29° outside your childrens, your wife, and you, are stuck in traffic for 4 hours because of an accident. • 2000 Tacoma 4x4
Size: H4
After adjusting them in the stock Headlight fixtures (make sure you notice how the OEM bulbs are inserted, i.e., there is a little 'cup' you can see inside the halogen lamps that needs to be facing the bottom of the fixture when seated. The Putco lamps have a similar shaped piece and should also be facing the bottom of the fixture prior to any other adjustments you make before final installation) I am wondering if I should remove the OEM fixture deflectors to get a little more output, as while the Putco lamps are dramatically whiter and brighter from an oncoming vehicles perspective, I am having less defused light hitting the road immediately in front of me (low beams) as compared to the stock halogen lamps. ... show more
