This is relatively easy to put on and take off each time I pump. It holds flanges much more securely than my pumping bras. I don't really need the neck strap at all. The only downside is the cost, but it's worth it in the end.

When I first put this on, I did not think I would like it. The color is pretty, but it's like a neoprene material and the strap is only about 5" wide, which does not cover or support my 34DDDs. I agree with other reviews that the Velcro is difficult and very loud. Therefore, I prefer to keep it fastened and pull it over my head. That works fine for me, since I only use it at home. Also, the neck strap irritates my neck a little; could use some cushioning. Anyway, when I first used this, I noticed a definite increase in output during pumping! I think less support/compression is actually working better for me. Since there's more skin exposed, I'm able to massage my breasts more easily. This can easily be used with a nursing bra, but I use it by itself and I think that works best for me. The holes are large enough that you can insert the flanges from the outside, but not large enough that you have to worry about them falling out. They are also the perfect size to pull through enough breast for breastfeeding. The hole creates that C hold that's perfect for feeding in the football hold position, making it easy to pump on one side and nurse on the other. I have not washed it yet, so I can't speak to how it holds up, but I expect this material to be fine. A lot of reviewers compared this to the Simple Wishes bra, which is what I was using before. Personally, I see these as two completely different products. Aside from the hands-free part, they have completely different applications for me. The Simple Wishes is very customizable as far as sizing and positioning. It is wider and more supportive. The front zipper makes it easy to put on and take off without messing up your hair, so I use it when pumping at work. The holes are very small, so you have to insert the flanges from the inside, and you cannot nurse at the same time. Also, I find it more difficult to massage since the fabric is reinforced on the front making it thick and bulky. ... show more

SECOND UPDATE: After further struggles trying to find a less toxic-smelling product like this, I upgraded it back from two stars to three. This is the only product out there with a truly practical, easy-to-use design that aids in compression while pumping. While the toxic off-gassing was a big problem for the first month, eventually it aired out and it was an indispensable accessory. If you're going to buy this, buy it for a month before you need it and hang it in the sun. I hope the manufacturer takes the feedback to heart and improves the material, but truly, when you're pumping several times a day, you need a product that's fast and easy to use, and the conceptual design of this product is excellent. FIRST UPDATE: It is with great sadness that I downgrade my review from five stars to two. My original review below describes all the good features; unfortunately, after a couple weeks of use, the off-gassing smell from the neoprene is intolerable. I noticed the smell immediately when I opened the package and washed the product, but that didn't help. I hoped it would air out over time, but it hasn't. Instead, I've noticed it causes lung irritation, headaches, and postnasal drip from irritated nasal passages, all of which has only gotten worse over time. I did a little research, and off-gassing odors from cheap neoprene are known to be toxic. I spend several hours a day pumping with this strap directly under my nose, so I can't justify the ill effects on my health anymore. I'm so sad to go back to the Simple Wishes bra because the Pump Strap's design is dramatically superior. I wish they had cared more about the quality of the material and its effects. ORIGINAL REVIEW DESCRIBING GOOD FEATURES: One of the hardest things about pumping is that there are no easy solutions, but rather it's lots of trial and error to find what works for your body. I have tried literally every pumping accessory I've ever heard of, and until I found this one, none of them had helped reduce my pumping time. I still had to sit around for 45-60 minutes every time applying compressions and massaging. My "hands-free" Simple Wishes bra functionally wasn't hands-free at all. Enter the Pump Strap. Way easier to put on, way better looking, and most importantly, it WORKS. Basically it applies the pressure that I would previously have had to apply manually the entire time I was pumping, actually freeing up my hands for the majority of any pumping session. I had been at my wit's end before I tried this product. While it may not be for everyone, it works wonders for me, so if you're having similar issues, it's worth a try. I'm thrilled with it. I purchased the A-DD version. Apparently the only difference between versions is there vertical with from the top to bottom of your chest. My only complaint is that I am fairly small around and the strap is extremely long, so it dangles a bit in the back. It's not an actual problem, though. ... show more
