I bought this backpack for my son, 7, for second grade. We just recently were able to fit all of his necessary supplies in the backpack, they were way more pockets and storage options then we initially knew. The straps are a great size and cushioned. It's a wonderful backpack for a kid, it's not too big on him, it's comfortable for him to carry all of his super heavy supplies on the first day.. and anything that he has to bring home throughout the year.
