  • Read the Instructions Several Times
The Instructions are clear but you should read them the day before use and again just before use and have them spread out before you while doing the test. To get rid of blood gaps in the collector rap it on the table several times. Make sure the Alcohol that you use to clean the lancet and your finger is evaporated before you stick. ... show more

  • I love being able to check my A1c, it’s worth it.
I love being able to check my A1c, it’s worth it. It’s pretty much accurate and I check it anytime I feel like it instead of waiting until the next three months for my next blood work. It lets me know if I am doing good or not before my next appointment.

  • Accurate but follow the directions completely. No Lancet is provided to extract your blood.
If you follow the directions carefully the unit is very accurate. (Used it in the morning prior to going to the lab. Same results) Keep refrigerated, remove the "A1C Now" tester and one of each of the 2 needed packets the night before you wish to run to test to be sure that all 3 pieces are at room temperature prior to use. The kit does NOT come with a means to prick your finger, hopefully you will have a Glucose tester at home with a lancet. I think for the price of over a hundred dollars they should include the lancet needed to draw the blood (costs less than a dollar). otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. One word of advise. Be sure to draw enough blood to completely fill the glass tube in the kit. If not you get an error message telling you that there was not enough blood and that test is wasted. ... show more

  • Love this kit!!
I tested each of my kids and confirmed one with pre Diabetes. Great kit to use and confirm what we need to do to stay ahead of this since Diabetes is in family. They don’t mark the box like they should when it is “out of refrigeration” since it is critical to know for longevity of tests. Expiration was 9/2020 and with full refrigeration can be 14 months and without is only 4 months. You have to keep track of that and kit also has this safety label that detects of was in over 120 degrees which could ruin kit. I liked that. Very accurate too. I test my sugars up to ten times per day and my average was .1 off but I say was 100% compared to time/test fluctuations. I wasted one test only cause I was talking to daughter and didn’t wait for “sample” to come on screen to inject sample into meter. This really is easy to use: ... show more

  • THINK ABOUT THIS
Nice to see this product available once again; it's good for what I'm trying to do. I'm type 2, so I use this monthly as an indicator of the efficiency of my diet and exercise behavior beyond the regular stick test. At this price it's cheaper than going to the doctor and lab -- and smarter than going without! KEEP THIS IN MIND: For some of the other reviewers ... if you want scientific accuracy, see the doctor and "trust" that their figures are more accurate. How would you know? This is another reason I ADD this to my toolbox for dealing with my diabetes. This is a tool that provides a 60-90 day measure of my sugar levels. I use this data not only as a slice-in-time reading, but also as a way to collect a series of data points that can be used to observe trends over time -- that's why I buy this and use it as I do. If my trend is a cause for concern, I act. All I'm saying is that this is a good tool for monitoring trends, big-picture. ... show more

  • Easy to use
Well written instructions and easy to use. Results in line from what I've seen from a professional.

  • Need to follow detailed instructions carefully.
This is the 2nd time I purchased A1C now. I have only done one test from this box, which went smoothly, and I have no way to judge the accuracy except that the result was close to one from several months ago. With my first box of A1C now, the test only worked 7 times out of 10, with error messages the other times. The issue appeared to be at the step where the blood is applied to the test card- the applicator must be pushed down forcefully. Hopefully the tests will continue to run properly. ... show more

  • DO NOT PURCHASE!
These test are highly inaccurate. I have been managing my diabetes with diet alone, no medication for over 2 years. I rely heavily on daily blood glucose testing and at home A1C test kits. I have used a few brands. Most are close to accurate. Usually with .1-.3 in comparison with a blood draw A1C test. I know how to use these tests well since I have been using them for over 2 years. These test are extremely inaccurate. I tested twice back to back because as soon as I tested I knew the test was probably faulty. The tests came in at 5.0 and 5.2. I knew those numbers were way too low so I went and paid for a real blood draw test and in reality I was a 6.0. Very, very different numbers. These tests need to be more accurate for the safety of diabetics who use these for routine monitoring. I contacted the seller for a refund since these tests were horribly inaccurate. They blamed it on me, saying it needs the right amount of blood each time. Yes, I know that and I know how to use these kits. They did not give me a refund and told me to contact customer service. I reached out to them through Amazon. Not sure what difference it would make to call. I will not purchase this brand nor will I purchase from this seller again. ... show more
